Service was very unprofessional from the host, after inquiring about an hour early check in and told no as the room wasn’t yet cleared as being ready ok I understand funny thing is we waited by the door for over an hour until the strike of 4pm guess what the code didn’t work after repeatedly trying to open the door after 4pm and texting the very friendly host to get help several times with no response back that’s right no response at all in my opinion the host got aggravated because I questioned why have it on the website for guests to inquire about early check in if your not going to honor it especially when the room was clearly ready as again we waited outside of the door for that hour but again I get it they have rules and would be losing money for the extra hour of letting customers in the room we survived ok. we had to resort to calling customer service to reset the room code needless to say at 4:15 we got access to the room. The host never ever responded to our check in issue, never checked on us to see if we got into the room nor never attempted to contact us to apologize for our inconvenience. If an hour meant that much to this host of losing money then what about my loss of time and money as a customer when I paid to get into a room at 4pm and had to wait until 4:15 to get access?? We even inquired about an early check in at the time of booking and about month after that we were told to inquire after 2pm on the day of arrival and they wouldn’t have a problem of offering early check in. This was all a lie. Why treat customers like this just simply say no and remove this wording off of your site.. I do believe the host purposely changed or had the time of access to the room because I inquired about an hour early check in and then questioned her when she clearly lied and turned us down using the excuse that the room wasn’t cleared as being ready for an early check in hell I would have paid the extra but was never offered. I will never use this host again and would hope that every customer isn’t treated this poorly by this lady. For this reason if this is the only person being used to rent this room out then I won’t be staying here again.
Parking was very tight but we managed to find a place every-time Staff at the desk were very friendly and had nothing to do with the room or the rudeness of the host. I did take pictures of our long wait outside of unit 804 door and provided a pic where I was told to check after 2pm on day of arrival to inquire about early check in. The host did say to reach out to check after 2pm if unit is cleared for early check in. Guess what it was plainly ready as we camped out by the door yes by our own choice but it does prove the unit wasn’t occupied by a cleaning service at that time or even after. I’m just saying don’t offer something that you’re not going to attempt to honor!!! I’ve dealt with much more friendlier hosts and have stayed at much more nicer places in the past so I’m not going to let this one bad experience ruin my future vacations in...
Read moreI have mostly great things to say about this place. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We got lost at first because somewhere we had gotten the address as 1604 S. Ocean Blvd instead of North Ocean Blvd but when we called the gentleman on duty the night of February 3rd was very helpful. He said he would have everything ready for us to check in when we got there and told us it would take about 15 minutes. When we walked in, he had everything ready for us to sign and the keys waiting. Every time we had any time where we had interactions with the staff, they were great. ||When we walked in to the room, it was just what I had been wanting. An ocean view with a balcony where I could sit and read my books for the next couple of day. We had the bedroom suite, #805. The view was gorgeous. And we happen to be there on full moon nights. It was beautiful watching the moon rise over the ocean. ||The kitchen was mostly well stocked. There were a few things not supplied that have usually been supplies at other places we have stayed. As you aren't aware of what sort of coffee pot is supplied, you would have to take all kinds of filters to be covered. We did not think of taking any filters with us as they have always been in the kitchens were we have stayed other times. ||Since these are individually owned condos, I am not sure if each condo's linens, etc. are chosen by the owners or if they are all the same. If they are all the same, I would suggest taking a blanket with you for your bed. The bed only has a sheet, a very lightweight blanket (I am talking very thing!) and a top that would not be considered a bedspread. It was like a piece of decorative light weight sheet/cloth thingy. Definitely not enough to keep you warm at night. Luckily, the room had a murphy bed that had linens in the drawers. We had to use both the lightweight blankets they supplied for that to be able to be comfortable to sleep. ||Again, being individually owned condos, I am not sure who is responsible for the maintenance of the condo, but there were a few things that needs to be fixed. I will attach a couple of photos. The micro has seen better times. It was rusted on the inside and the door has been broken at some time and they had tried to fix it by just putting caulk or putty or something on the outside of the door. The veneer on the bottom of the bathroom sink was peeling off. ||Besides that, the room was very clean. If you have rented through Roxanne Towers and not the owners, they service your room every day. All in all, we would definitely stay here again if we are ever back...
Read moreAfter a 13 hour drive with my family of 6 (including my 4 young children) it was red flag after red flag since arrival. Had it not been for the 11pm arrival we would have packed up and gone next door to the Hilton for the extra $500. ||The door to the room: so warped and decrepit that I had to through my body against it every time to open it. And slam it shut to ensure the lock would latch. Even then it’s iffy…there was a strong storm that came through that blew open the front door with the bolt latched…not sure how that happened. ||Entryway: The floors have not been cleaned for some time. They were covered in sand and dirt. |There were crumbs of food all over the counter and stove. Pieces of acrylic nails on the kitchen counter as well. |Under the kitchen sink where the trash can is, found dead bugs and pieces of food and debris.(see picture)|The dishes in the cabinet for use, were so vile, one could find cleaner dishes at a yard sale. They had dead bugs on and in them. Film covered the inside and out of them and stuns lined the mugs. |The sad part is, is that when you sign in you agree to “clean dry and put away all dishes.” Clearly it doesn’t matter if you do, absolutely no one checks on that. ||The carpet: let’s just say it doesn’t know what a vacuum is…||The first bathroom: absolutely horrendous. Likely has not been cleaned with a cleaning agent for months. Old urine stains on the outside of the toilet and dirty water rings inside. No scrub and no bactericide. (See picture)||While the shower in the split bath doesn’t drain well, this could be due to a long summer of people not rinsing the sand off themselves before they shower. But what comes out of the shower drain while showering makes one want to vomit. ||The master bath: shower was clean and it drained well. |Toilet is a close second as the first. Slightly cleaner though. |I could nit pick at everything but if you’ve read this much, you get the picture. Adhere to reviews before mine about this place. Spend the little extra money and stay at a...
