We enjoyed the sling shot ride but the staff was extremely rude and acted like we were bothering them. We were earlier in the day and there were no other customers. There were six or seven people sitting in the ticket booth when we walked up and no one bothered to great us or offer help. I asked if they were running and no one acknowledged my question. A couple of them looked at me straight in the face and said nothing. I stepped over to a woman to the right and asked if they were open and if we could get tickets. She was a Jamaican woman. She sighed with a look of disgust on her face and said yes what do you want to do. After I bought our very expensive tickets, we were not given instructions on where to go or what to do next. The guy operating the machine didn’t say follow me or anything. I just assumed we were suppose to so I did. I asked another attendant where to put our belongings and he just pointed to the right towards the ride and didn’t speak which was no help. When we got off the ride, they didn’t direct us where to go next for our video. The guy giving us our video spoke up to get our attention or I wouldn’t have known where to go. He was the only halfway nice person there. They acted like we were bothering them. They were on the phone and had zero customer service skills. If this wasn’t something I’ve been wanting to do I wouldn’t have given them any of my money. I certainly will not be...
Read moreLet me start out by saying I am absolutely terrified of heights. I also suffer from a severe anxiety disorder. Idk why but for some silly reason I got it in my head I was going to impress my boyfriend by doing the sling shot ride… I knew he wanted to do it but wouldn’t unless I women upped and choose to do it without any pressure from him. I explained to the staff about my condition and they were so friendly and reassuring. They were so kind and caring even with me clearly being a bit of a wreak. I can’t thank them enough for the level of kindness and patience the showed me yesterday. A lot of places like this they rush and are rude, but not here. I was my own personal hype man and did it! If you are considering doing the sling shot, just DO IT! It was so much fun and it’s so quick you hardly have time to comprehend what’s even going on. At $30 a person I feel it’s extremely fair priced plus they give you a QR code you can use to purchase the video at only $18 which I found way cheaper than expected. I’m so happy we decided to go here and that I didn’t chicken out, which part of that was because of the wonderful staff. Thank you again! Can’t say I’ll do this again but I’m glad I tried it...
Read moreLast time my daughter (who was 10 at the time) and I went to Myrtle, I talked her into going on the Slingshot with me. She was afraid of heights up till then and honestly she still is to a point. So getting her to go was a 3 day pep rally. But with the encouragement of myself and the staff, away we went! After exiting the launch pad the staff continued to tell her how proud they were of her, high-five'n her, clapping... I couldn't have had better experience.
This time was the complete opposite. 1st we encountered the absolute most un-personable, unfriendly and miserable guys I've encountered in a while. I work in a prison and the Correctional Officers and I treat the inmates with more respect and are more personable with people who have done some horrible things... all we did was come to was drive down from O.I.B. and an hour out of our way to spend our money for another experience like we had the last time... and what we experienced was nothing short of and episode of "What Would You Do?"... I was seriously looking for a camera crew... well the camera didn't show up and after the way we were treated, the next time we're in town... I doubt we...
