BAD EXPERIENCE! NEVER RECOMMAND! NEVER COME BACK!
I had extremely bad experience in this hotel!
1, first, that was my mistake that I though this Indigo hotel is same Indigo under IHG franchise. (as an IHG Diamond member, I hope IHG groups doing something with this hotel too).It is not. It is the independent hotel. One week before I arrive, I tried to call to the hotel inquiry for the early check in and high floor. Called 9 times in three days finally someone answered. (even tried to contact booking.com to help. And booking.com could not reach to them too). The girl told me that she did not find my reservation. With name first name, last name, arrival date, last four digital number of the credit card and confirmation number. She said nothing she could do since she said no reservation under my name. (what she was talking about. I already paid, have email from booking.com that with the confirmation number, and the bank transition improved I already paid too). 3 days later, Probably 12th for the call. One girl picked up said I had your reservation and saw you requested early check in and high floor. I said yes. She said $50 early check in around 1pm. I said that is ok. Waste 3 days to confirm that they did have my reservations.
2, checked in was ok. I did paid $50 for the early check in. After me and my friend went to the room about half hour, we called the front desk asking about the wifi password. She said that in the key card envelope. We said that we did not see anything on the envelope. She said supposed on there. Then she told us the password through the phone. But still not working. I came down to the front desk to ask again and gave her our key card envelope. Then she said, oh, nothing. Then she wrote it on there. DID NOT say anything to me included the apology.
3, the second night after I finished the dinner and pass the front desk. Me and my friend inquiry for the check out time. The girl told me that check out time is 10am. We said that wow that is too early. Then she said late check out was $50 from 11am to 1pm. We asked again that how about 10am to 11am. She said that for free. That is all. AND WE REALLY CHECK OUT AT 11AM on our check out date.
4, After I got back home I saw two times for charging me $50. I called the hotel. One girl answered. Surprised that this time was quick to answer. The girl explained to me that one time $50 for early check in and another one $50 was late check out. I told them I did not late check out. I checked out at 11am which your coworker told me that is free. She told me I applied for late check out on Tuesday. I told her that I did not, I only confirm with the check out time. I am not that stupid I paid for the late check out and check out on time at 11am. She said this payment can not refund. Since I I signed the Regiration card saying any payment not refundable. It was so ridiculous.
Anyway, whatever happed to me I hope not happen to everyone else. The customer...
Read moreJust so people are aware, there is a sign in the lobby that says: "ask us about our free sunglasses!" I asked and was told if you leave a 5 star review they give you a free pair of $10.99 sun glasses from their shelf. I feel like most of the good reviews on here are from cheap-o's that wanted the free sunglasses. So here's my review. Spoiler alert, I didn't get the free sunglasses.
I stayed here from 7/24 to 7/27 and my experience was less than satisfactory. I feel like their website and reviews mislead people about how nice this hotel is. We pulled in the parking lot which was paved horribly and needs to be redone. There were beer cans littering the parking lot. When we checked in, it was fine, the receptionist was pleasant. We stayed in Room 901. The elevators were not clean at all and smelled like urine. I understand that this is a beach front hotel and people come in from the pool/beach wet, but it smelled so bad I didn't even want to get in there with my luggage. Also, there are black bags STACKED under the outdoor stairs that didn't look like trash, but looked like bags of linens. Not sure if they were clean or dirty, but either way, gross.
We get to the room and the floors have so much sand on them, you had to wear shoes or else you get sand all in your bed. The beds are SUPER uncomfortable. It felt like cardboard with springs underneath. One of the beds had a stain on the mattress cover that looked like feces and was visible through the sheet.
There was a gap underneath the door about half an inch wide. The bathroom door was so off the hinges that it would not close. There was only one roll of cheap toilet paper and three towels in the bathroom. I tried to call/text multiple times and ask for more and got no response. The shower handle fell off and wasn't attached at all, tried to call about that, no answer either.
Our refrigerator leaked all over the floor within an hour of being there, thankfully when we were leaving someone was at reception for me to tell in person and they did fix that, but any other time I went down there, no one was at the front desk.
Our AC was condensating on the inside of the room as well. Half of the outlets did not work in the room and paint on the walls was cracked and peeling off. There was also a layer of dust on the wood fixtures in the room and bathroom and toothpaste splatter on the wood behind the sink. There was also a used kleenex and a pair of sunglasses left behind one of the mattresses, which how would you just leave that there if you changed the sheets?!
All of this and I paid almost $800 for three nights. That's a ridiculous price to pay for such a crappy hotel. I have never stayed in a hotel worse than this one. The only redeeming quality was the beach access. It...
Read moreOh where do I begin. I actually just left Myrtle yesterday. I had this hotel booked since February. I booked it through booking.com but had did my research as well as I had called down before booking it to make sure that I could bring my wiener dog with me on vactionn. Was told yes that they were a pet friendly hotel I would be charged a cleaning fee which I was completely fine with. I live in Ohio so it’s about a 10 hour drive. We get down here Friday after noon about 415 to check in only to be told I couldn’t have him even as you see from the pictures of the webpage and about the hotel it says pet friendly. The lady working was so rude it ridiculous because she didn’t wanna listen to nothing tried to tell me he had to be a service dog it says on the website. I pulled it up and asked her to show me where cause it didn’t . She rudely told me I wasn’t getting my keys and I could take him home and come back and would be charged a fee for checking in late. I explained I lived 10 hours away and wasn’t going clear back home and coming Back here. When I made sure I was allowed to bring him and was told yes everytime and was never told he had to be a service dog. This lady gave no cares at all. Like I told her I would’ve never booked there knowing I wasn’t allowed to have a him there cause it made no sense. After she proceeded to argue with me with her attitude I was over it and was like fine cancel my reservation I want my money back in my hotel since I’m not staying here. She refused to give me back like at this point j didn’t care if she kept half just give me my money back. She looked at the computer and looked at me and was like cancellation fee is the price of the booking. I was like so I’m paying for a room I’m not even staying at that you’re going to turn around and rent back out. I asked for her manager and owners number and she refused to give it to me and continue her attitude . Again why would I stay there if I couldn’t have my dog knowing I was bringing Him. So I ended up having to pay $1600 for another hotel as well as paying for the other stuff that the hotel I paid for had in my room that the one I staye d at didn’t. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to...
