NY Pizza Kitchen Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Myrtle Beach

Do not waste your time or money! The waitress came over as soon as we sat down with the menus. She recommended the Italian Margarita so, I ordered that and my son ordered a water. For our food, I ordered the Spinach Salad with shrimp , garlic knots and my son ordered the Chicken Parm sub with fries. Instead of making my drink and his water, she waited on customers that walked up to the bar after us. After 15 minutes she brought the water and margarita over in a martini glass with a lime instead of the orange slice that tasted horrible. I asked her why it was in the wrong glass and she said that’s what her manager said it should be in, I asked her why it tasted like a mix and she said it’s a mix in a bottle. I sent it back and asked for a Jack and coke, she said they had Pepsi which was fine and brought that back in a tumbler that had very little Jack in it and a lot of ice. She brought out the $14 salad and it was the size of a side salad and the shrimp was still partially frozen. My son’s Chicken parm was just a breaded chicken patty with some mozzarella on it and both the sub and fries were barely warm. I sent back the salad and just ordered the garlic knots, which were good. She brought my check and still tried to charge me for the margarita and salad. She finally got the bill corrected and I still tipped her but we will never be back . I guess they are more of a pizza and beer place. First of all this NY Pizza is located inside the Bluewater Resort. They have several locations in town. I was staying across the street in one of the 2 smaller buildings of Bluewater Resort which I think they call the Villas. Anyway , my first night , September 19 , I was tired from driving in and didn't feel like driving somewhere else to eat so I walked across the street after finding it on Yelp.

I have to say I was really impressed with the pizza. Especially after reading some of the reviews I wasn't expecting good pizza or good service. I just wanted a personal pizza to take back to my room and eat out on the balcony , which is exactly what I did. I got a Small Meat Lovers Pizza and the quality of the pizza and the taste was really good. I live in Las Vegas and we have sooo many pizza places it's crazy , gourmet , chains , mom and pops , New York , Chicago , you name it.

It was $12.67 total which is a good deal for a tourist town. They have a bar inside and there were a couple customers sitting there having good conversations and having a few drinks. Big TVs playing sports and such , dining area with a few people eating and they had a few cakes on display. They of course sell other food items other than pizza. Try and always keep all my reviews as positive as I possibly can as I understand everyone and every business has bad days. But there is no war in conscience not let this slide . It’s a pizza place so perhaps the pizza is better, but … my party had a Caesar salad and there was not a single leafy green in it . Was all the white stem chopped up , was incredibly small and at almost 10 dollars a pop it was less the than ideal. I ordered the lamb gyro , had dozens of them around the world , have never had less lamb or less flavored tzatzki sauce. I have to get into the service and atmosphere … the thermostat is set at 79 degrees, and it’s surely in the 80s inside if you think you’re getting relief from a day out golfing or at the beach you’re mistaken . Lastly the service, I fully acknowledge it’s hard to hire and keep good staff. And our waitress absolutely tried as I multiple times so her legitimately running , however her English was near zero , she had us point to each thing we asked for on the menu , which certainly caused some concerns with the accuracy of our meals as we tried to have things held or added to our order .
