Ocean Waves Hotel — Hotel in Myrtle Beach

We arrived Friday afternoon and was very unhappy at the look of the hotel from the outside. Upon check in we inquired about the deck that we were suppose to have...only to find out it was not a private deck but shared with the entire level. Our room was on the 3rd floor, room 301 to be exact the bathroom had little round balls on the floor not sure if it was rat droppings or not. We immediately called downstairs, a young lady came upstairs looked at it and said I don't know what they are someone must have just been lazy when they cleaned your room so she took a tissue and picked it up off of the floor and left...Did not mop or anything!!! There was no toilet paper holder, there was not even a towel rack in the bathroom!!! There were 2 lamps in the room of which only 1 worked, well we found out the lamp worked after having some one come up and look at it but the outlet did not...dark and dingy rooms because you cannot open your curtains or you would have absolutely no privacy. We had a kitchenette in our room stove, fridge, microwave which we could not use until we moved the dresser and either unplug the fridge or tv so that we can plug in the microwave!!! The windows were FILTHY!!! The office closed around 11pm and there was no one in charge until morning...god forbid there was an emergency in the middle of the night!!! Upon leaving I saw the corner of what looked to me to be some sort of clothing, so I asked my friend had she dropped something she placed her foot under the dresser and pulled it out...IT WAS A NASTY DIRTY MANS SOCK!!!!! That was the icing on the cake!!! We lived out of our suit cases as the drawers were filthy. If you want coffee better bring instant...no coffee maker in room. I found 2 bags of broccoli in the freezer, I was told that "Oh I must have overlooked that" NO you over look EVERYTHING!!! The entire stay was horrible!!! If I had of only paid $100 or even $200 for 2 nights I more than likely would not have complained because I would have expected this, BUT NOT $400!!! They refuse to give any sort of refund for anything! My friend suggested her family to stay at the hotel as well...They arrived Friday evening!!! OMG The first room they were in was 206 the entire floor as you entered the room was buckling and their bed smelled of URINE...They did them a so called favor and moved them to room 204 well that started off with having no key card...THAT ROOM HAD A REG KEY AND ONLY ONE OF THEM BETWEEN 3 PPL!!! We walked outside to see our friends getting into their car I asked where they were going? They replied to walmart to buy some sheets and towels!!!! When they went into Their bathroom there was a dirty face cloth hanging over the top of the shower. They REFUSED to give a refund instead the manager said that she would personally go change the bed because like I said they bought their own sheets because the top sheet had some sort of snot or something like that. The only thing they did was give her $45 so that her price was the same as ours...NOT ACCEPTABLE...THEY DID NOT HAVE A KITCHENETTE ONLY A MICROWAVE I COULD GO ON AND ON... ALL I CAN SAY IS TAKE YOUR $400 AND STAY 2 DAYS SOMEWHERE ELSE I WISH I DID NOT HAVE TO RATE THEM...

My experience wasn’t as bad as some patrons here. The little older lady that checks us in to the rooms is sweet but I can tell she takes no Crap which this place needs that due to its past clientele the location needs a dumpster on site so that the little older lady isn’t fighting trying to load her car up with trash I’ve seen the owner twice he seems like nice Guy just needs help running the place. There is this guy renting in the first Floor he should be running the hotel his attitude and perspective is truly bright when it comes to life the young man came here. From Nc And from just a small piece of his story that he shared I’m motivated to take on the world. He said he is writing a Book Called “If Not Now, Then When” {quote reference}(Chosen- Jewish religious series on the Pando App about the Life of JESUS THE SON OF DAVID AND Mary) It’s A story about the challenges he faced as a black young bisexual African American who left home at 14 and was forced to survive and grow up early he was sexually assaulted at a young Age causing him to strongly dislike authority figures that take there Job Way to Serious and had to become an Adult and become grounded in the world with the Earth because the Church had already chewed him up and spit him out just like life will Do if your not careful about the calling on your life and about What People Desire From Him but his gift and his testimonies will make room for him the book will Reflect on The Goodness of Jesus on how he overcame obstacles and rededicated his life back to Christ and at the big grown age of 31 with tears in his eyes and a heavy heart he rededicated his life back To God on march 6th 2025 Amen and he is Leaving every demonic entity that is not of God we cast you out and say depart from here you Evil doers for I shall keep the commandments of thy God…For God I live and For God I Die because as for me and my house we will bless the lord at all times and let his praise be in our mouths OH MAGNIFY THE Lord with ME LET US EXALT HIS NAME TOGETHER .anyone that may go to this Place please understand and be patient with the owners. They are fixing the place slowly but surely the rooms are in Mid Conditions in need of of a make over and some spider Spray the little older lady seem to be Jewish or from Egypt and Her Attitude is the worst ever but she means well and she handles the drug issue from getting to her hotel with stern mother like talking to the younger kids in the area and a stern Motherly look that say put it back, sit back , stop what you are doing , I know you hear me talking to you. Or your mother raised you better maybe what they need but her and the young guy with the Comfy Robe need to Run the place together. That’s a successful power team right there let him do the booking and the talking and let her kick who she want off her property that’s what it seems she is...

Me, my boyfriend and stepson went down to the beach kind of last minute and the place we were originally going to stay at ended up not having the room we booked and it was already too late to travel all up and down Myrtle Beach trying to find a decent room for a okay price. We found this place on another booking site/app and they were offering a app only mobile deal for fairly cheap and so we booked it and would arrive within a hour. So when we got there it was a little after 10pm and time we were pulling up we were instantly regretting it. The place itself wasn't in the ghetto/hood area but this place was its own ghetto on it's own. There was what looked like drug dealers and doers all out of their rooms and just hanging out and watching us as we pulled up. I sent my boyfriend to the front desk so we could go head and get our room and get locked in there for the night. I was really hoping for a room on the first floor since I am almost 8 months pregnant but we ended up getting a room on the 2nd floor which luckily it was right off the stairs so I didn't have to waddle too far to get to the room. I was having issues with my tablet and my stepsons tablet to connect to the WiFi but luckily the owners or something were replacing the microwave in the room next to ours so I was able to get help with connecting so at least the4 year old didn't have much of a meltdown when we got him connected. Inside our room there were 2 big plush full size beds, sheets were clean, one of the flat sheets did however have a tiny burn hole in it but it wasn't no reason to get mad, our little mini fridge though did have a little bit of difficulty closing and staying closed but we found out that if you hit it a certain way it'd stay shut. Air conditioner worked amazingly!! Like I said I'm super preggo right now so my thermostat is broken anyways lol but the boyfriend and stepson went to bed shivering. And they even accommodated us and let us get a noon checkout!! Idk if it was bc of the time we checked in or what but it really wasn't too awful bad for the price we got the room for. So I'm really not trying to be super critical of the place. All I will say is that you get what you pay for... So I do wish my last time at the beach before I have this baby was a little more fun and enjoyable but I did get to wake up across the street from...
