UPDATE 3: I went into the BE store to shop for wedding bands with my future husband today. Jerry was the associate that helped us during our appointment and he was very attentive and helpful. He had seen the review I posted previously before I arrived and made sure to acknowledge the issues I had and reassure me they wouldn’t happen again. We both found wedding bands that we are excited about and can’t wait to see them when they are delivered in a couple of weeks!
UPDATE NUMBER 2: Simra from the Brilliant Earth customer relations team reached out to me to discuss the issues I had with my initial ring resizing. She was very kind and seemed eager to address the problem promptly. After speaking with her over the phone, I received a FedEx shipping label to ship my ring back to BE to have the band remade, because the initial band I received could only be sized up or down a half size, and I was needing a whole size smaller. The put a rush on the resize and it was shipped back to me within 2 weeks of initially sending it off. I’m glad the BE team was able to recognize the struggles I was having with their customer service phone line and address the issue.
UPDATED REVIEW: Unfortunately, I have to update my review after the poor experience I've had over the last week. Teresa was still great, this update doesn't have to do with her, but Brillant Earth as a whole. I dropped my ring off on Saturday, March 9th to be resized. They have to ship the rings to New Jersey for resizing as they don't have a jeweler on staff at the store. I called on Sunday to see if the ring had been shipped out or not, if it hadn't, I was going to go back and pick it up to get resized at another time. When I called the "Nashville" store number, it took me to the BE main national phoneline and they called the store themselves. They told me the ring had already been shipped, so I told them no worries, I will pick it up when it was scheduled to be ready on April 8th. On Wednesday, March 13th, my fiancée received an email stating that my ring resizing order had been cancelled. When we called, they said the order was accidently cancelled after I called on Sunday, but for some reason it took them 3 days to send an email stating that. They said since the order was cancelled, the ring should be back at the Nashville store for me to pick up, but they would send an email to confirm. Come Friday, March 15th, we still hadn't received an email, so I call again. This time they said the ring was in transit back to the store, and was scheduled to arrive sometime on Monday, March 18th. The store is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, so now I won't be able to pick the (unresized) ring until Thursday, March 21st. I will be nearly 2 weeks into this process with absolutely NO progress on getting the ring resized. I will be taking it a local jeweler that said they can resize the ring in a week, maybe less, which is what I wish I would have done in the first place. After the first part of my experience with Brillant Earth, I was really expecting better. This has been extremely disappointing. My recommendation is if you buy your ring here, but don't give it back to them for any repairs or resizing!!

Read moreI’m giving Brilliant Earth a 1/5 because of multiple reasons. My boyfriend and I walked in yesterday for our 1pm 50 minute appointment to look at jewelry/engagement rings. We weren’t quite sure what we were looking for so we booked a generic 50 minute appointment. We walk in to the lobby and no one greeted us or even came out from the back for at least 5 minutes. We have already looked through their entire collection at this point. The woman behind the desk named Haley was the most cold & unenthusiastic sales associate I have came across. She told us she couldn’t show us engagement rings because we didn’t specify we wanted an engagement appointment and we would have to come back another time. We were the only people in the jeweler at the time and we already reserved 50 minutes of their time for jewelry in general. She did not want to help or work with us at all. We felt that we weren’t welcome & we left.
After we left we went to the closest jeweler nearby called Consider the WldFlwers in Edgehill. Immediately walking in we were greeted with the whole back story of the store & were given champagne/refreshments. We had no appointment walking in there & the woman who helped us took us back to a private suite for 1.5 hours and educated us on diamonds & we ended up finding the perfect ring and bands for us.
