Avoid this place at all costs! I had two horrible experiences here!
The last visit was an absolute disaster. Orders took an extremely long time, some were forgotten and had to be requested multiple times, and one couple didn’t receive their food until we were leaving. They had to take it home in a to-go box—completely unacceptable.
We regularly visit this place for company birthdays with groups of 15+ people, spending at least $1,000 each time and tipping generously (20-25%). However, this last experience was the worst I’ve ever had at any restaurant or bar.
Eight of us ordered tequila shots to celebrate a birthday. Instead of normal shots, they served us cups filled with an excessive amount of alcohol. Of course, they were late, and most of us were driving. When the first three shots arrived, I noticed how large they were and told the waitress we only needed one more to split between us, requesting the other four be canceled. She claimed she couldn’t cancel them because it would create “inventory issues” and said the manager would explain.
When the manager arrived, I explained that we’re regulars, spend a lot of money here, and didn’t realize the shots would be so big. She said Tennessee law doesn’t allow them to pour alcohol back into the bottle. However, 30 minutes later, the remaining five shots still hadn’t arrived. I approached the manager again and suggested they must not have been poured yet. Moments later, the waitress rushed over with the shots, clearly having just poured them to avoid canceling the order and ensuring I’d be charged.
I was upset with the treatment and the rudeness of both the waitress and the manager. For the first time in my life, I didn’t leave a tip.
To my disbelief, the waitress confronted me, saying she earns $10/hour and that I must leave a tip. I thought that was the end of it, but she approached me again—this time loudly and in front of everyone—shaming me for not tipping. She even yelled, “What are you still doing here? You should leave! I’ll tell the manager to kick you out!”
That was the final straw. I reported this behavior to the manager, who agreed it was inappropriate and promised that the waitress would not serve us if we returned.

Read moreLove the live music, everything else left much to be desired. Out party of 5 (4 adults and a child) waited 6 or 7 minutes to be acknowledged at the front door. Once seated, we waited another 5 or 6 minutes for a server to claim our table. Our server, Sa, introduced herself and immediately let us know that if we scanned the QR code on the drink menu and left a positive review, mentioning her name, Sa, we would receive an appetizer for free. We placed our drinks orders and she returned with the glasses of water, prior to the drinks being fulfilled by the bar. Upon placing the fourth and last glass, she spilled it on me, my chair and the table and floor between myself and my father. Not a big deal, but odd during this time, she took the opportunity to remind us about the QR code and survey.
She delivered our drinks and asked if we were ready to order. We placed our order and after, she took the order of the booth behind us and we would not interact with her again for roughly 20 minutes. The booth behind us received their food and upon noticing our glance, she remarked that someone was bringing ours out. A bachelorette party was seated with her five minutes later and after taking their order, taking several pictures for them and the booth behind us finishing their meal, she said she would go get our food. It was all lukewarm at best. I also requested no pickles for my burger she acknowledged me verbally and naturally, consistent with this experience my burger was topped with pickles. The delay in delivery was really a disservice to the kitchen staff, because there's a chance it might have improved the dining experience when served hot, but we didn't get that opportunity. Instead receiving warm, at best, across the board.
We were absolutely forgotten and perhaps once the water was spilled, which no one said anything negative about, she decided it wasn't going to be a great experience and mailed it in.

Read moreMy recent visit to Bar Louie at the Gulch location was profoundly disappointing, particularly in contrast to my frequent and positive experiences at the Murfreesboro location and other branches. My friend and I visited the bar during Happy Hour and was asked by the bartender to put a card on file, which is normal for bars. He assured us that the card would not be charged. However, my first card allegedly “didn't work”, so I provided a second card, which was accepted without issue.
To my surprise, I noticed an $85.50 charge on my card before we had even received our bill or food. (the first card that “didn’t go through”) When I inquired about this charge, the bartender became defensive and questioned my familiarity with bars, insinuating that I couldn’t get charged that amount because my bill wasn’t that high. Our actual bill for four cocktails and two appetizers during Happy Hour was only $52 and some change, so I was perplexed by the $85 charge.
When the check finally arrived, the total was indeed $52 and some change. Hailey, the manager, who was very sweet and helpful, attempted to resolve the issue. She discovered that my initial card, which supposedly hadn’t gone through, had actually been charged at regular prices instead of the Happy Hour rate. To address this, Hailey generously comped two of our drinks. Hailey also assured me the $85 dollar payment will be reversed to my account. I expected the new total ($33.76) would be subtracted from the $85.50 leaving the refund to my account to be about $52.
Unfortunately, I later found that an additional $33 of the new bill had been charged to my card, bringing my total payment to $119.26 for what should have been a $52 bill before the complimentary drinks. This overcharge was due entirely to the bartender’s error and rudeness.
I called the following day to speak with management. The manager assured me they would investigate and get back to me. However, despite multiple follow-up calls over five hours, I have yet to receive a response. This lack of communication and resolution is...
