We made reservations for two NON-smoking rooms.
We paid for one room with single bed and one room with two beds.
We received a receipt for room #1 30 minutes after initiating check in --for a single SMOKING room rather than non-smoking.
We received a receipt for room #2 1hr + after initiating check-in -- which was also a single SMOKING room, rather than a double bed NON-smoking room;
We actually received the room keys-- 1hr30min+ after initiating check in.
For the pleasure of the 90+ minute check in process for two rooms, we did not receive either of the roomsvwe reserved, plus for as a bonuses, we were charged an extra $23.34 for the lesser room #2;
We were charged wyndham points on both rooms; but we earned wyndham points on only one room rather than both per wyndham rewards policy.
We also had the non-pleasure of spending more than 1 hr speaking to 5 wyndham diamond concierge and customer service employees so they could "properly document" the complaint "according to Wyndham policy" to which they supply a reference#with assurances the guest will receive an email reply within 2 weeks. (This doesn't resolve the overcharge, the points, the refund of the more than 4+ hours of our lives lost to Wyndham, nor an apology in deed rather than words.)
Note well: as guests we are required to abide by the hotel policies--and we do. Wyndham Diamon concierge and customer service insist they must strictly adhere to wyndham policy, too. But, the individual hotel management is the exception whereas they are excused from abiding by policy
Read moreWithin three days I stayed at two Ohio hotels: Travelodge by Wyndham in New Philadelphia, and Comfort Inn in Lima. The difference between the two Hotels is stunning. The mattress at the Travelodge was comfortable and the sheets were clean, and the staff were kind, and that is the only thing good about our stay there. The room was dirty, old, stained and smelly. I am not a finicky or demanding person. Being ex-military, I have literally slept in dirt, and yet felt uncomfortable in the room. Wyndham should be embarrassed. Conversely, the Comfort Inn in Lima, was clean, neat, and updated. The workout room was a benefit and we enjoyed our stay there. The breakfast was well above average. The staff at the front desk, Mariah and Ray were kind, and receptive. The only complaint was the hostile woman working the breakfast bar. This was indeed a tale...
Read moreA nice budget hotel. Wifi isn't the greatest. They have HBO and bai cable. Rooms are dated. They are in process of updating and remodeling the rooms. But Covid has delayed the process. If you are looking for comfort and to save a few dollars and aren't all about everything should be fancy then Travelodge is for you. Want fancy drive across the st to the Hilton and pay out your fanny for a room. As for me, I will stick with the not so fancy but really comfy budget friendly room.
Did I mention the Staff is AWESONE AND FRIENDLY.
OH YEAHHHH!!! one more thing. Outside they have a good size fenced in inground pool area and beside the pool there's also Horse Shoes. If you ask me, and well Google did, Travelodge is all the fancy...
