*One year later we have only had one issue when the company had an upgrade to their system and our receiver wasn’t working with it. They were out the same day I called to inquire about pure internet being out. They replaced whatever needed replaced to work with their upgrade and have had no issues since.
We live in an area with no internet options except Frontier Communications DSL. Forcing us to keep a landline only the telemarketers enjoy and slow, unreliable internet connection. $47 for the slow, spotty internet and another $45+ for a landline. Easy math….over $90 for bad internet. Frustrating! Enter Smart Way! We were skeptical, but decided there was nothing that could be worse than what we have had for 21 years. We are up on a hill and had a good connection to one of their towers. I filled out the online form and Kim contacted me within a day. She texted with me anytime I had a question as with my being being at work we couldn’t always take the time to talk on the phone. Kim was super nice and very helpful. We set up an appointment for installation of the $65 a month service (lowest tier) and Zach was out to set it up the same week! Zach came out and was very nice, friendly and professional. He was even able to install the equipment on an old satellite bracket on our roof. (No new holes!) We purchased one of their routers for $85 and we paid $89 and change with tax that day. (You can purchase theirs, lease theirs or purchase one of your own) We are very happy so far with the internet and thrilled with their customer service! No buffering with streaming and a much faster connection than we previously had. We don’t game, but do stream movies and videos and previously we couldn’t have two people doing that at the same time without one lagging. They have high speed options available, but in the first two weeks of service this one is working for us. 21 years and we finally have an...

It’s it’s in new Springfield. I’m not far away. The other response you listed was that we have external other network things that could be wrecking havoc on our Internet. No, we use your equipment only nothing else unless you’re counting Alexa and our cameras. And Anna did say we are on an as is basis and will not be serviced. They know my phone number so they either don’t answer and I’ve been hung up on. So nice try Smart Way of defending yourself because I have proof Mr. owner. Come check for yourself.
Do not use this Internet provider. The technicians that answer the phone when the service is out hang up on you. Or they put you at an as is basis meaning they don’t have to service you. You’ve called and bitched too many times. Yes if I don’t have Internet and Wi-Fi, I can’t work from home now can I? They are the worst Internet provider I have ever come across. Anna is an arrogant snob who will not help you. I pay $75 a month for high-speed Internet and she placed me as an as is basis. That way they do not have to service me. On the other hand, there is Logan, from RAA Data Services, which was bought out by SmartWay. Logan is the most competent person at this company. He has helped me numerous times. And the only person I want to talk to Wright right now is Logan and I want him to come out because my Internet is not working. I realize they had an outage and I power cycled as they suggest and I still do not have Internet. Logan, if your manager reads this message, I am begging you to come out. My Internet is not working properly...
Read moreWe live in a very rural area where cable TV and Internet is not an option (right now but will be soon.) Smart Way bought out the previous company that provided our internet service. I was never a fan of the internet service before they bought out the company, so this review isn't just about Smart Way. It's the only viable option for internet here right now. It's ok...... when it works. Sometimes, it just slows to a crawl at random times. Also, they do updates that take the service down. Usually during the middle of the night, but I'm working from home then, so that can be frustrating..... but I understand that updates need to be done. The customer service is good, no bad experiences in that area, it's just not a really reliable internet service. And I get it, this type of setup is prone to issues. I finally rattled the cage of the cable TV company that covers my area to bring service to our house over the next few months, so hopefully that will happen. Obviously, they won't be able to compete with the cable company when it comes to internet speed and reliability. Overall, it's been an up and down experience. Good customer service, just not a reliable product. If it's the only option, obviously it beats no internet at all. But if you have the option for cable or fiber optic service you'll want to go with that. I hope this is a fair review. I can't say it's a bad company, just a product that isn't the greatest...... but not the fault of...
