Despite the enjoyable food, decent drinks, and excellent service from the waitress, I’m compelled to rate this establishment with only one star due to an incident that marred our experience. Visiting with family from overseas, we sought to capture memorable moments against the backdrop of the NYC skyline. While the restaurant’s ambiance provided ideal lighting, the unfortunate turn of events soured our evening.
Without any indication or warning, we decided to take a few pictures in the dried-up pool area, assuming it was permissible as there were no clear signs barring entry, nor was it listed among the extensive rules posted at the entrance. However, our actions prompted an immediate response from security personnel, instructing us to vacate the premises.
The lack of a simple warning or civil conversation left us feeling utterly bewildered and disrespected. Despite our willingness to apologize and rectify the situation, we were met with swift dismissal without the chance to explain or make amends. We intended no harm and were prepared to enjoy the remainder of our evening respectfully.
Our respectful demeanor towards the security staff was met with a stark contrast in treatment from the management. Feeling belittled and undeservingly rushed out, we settled our bill and departed with a sense of dissatisfaction and disappointment. For future visitors seeking a rooftop experience, I’d suggest exploring alternative venues that foster a more understanding and forgiving environment, rather than one clouded by pretentiousness and swift judgment for an...
Read moreWorst experience of our life! I went with my wife on xmas eve yesterday. I called before hand to check if its open and no one informed me that it requires physical IDs to enter. We were asked at door about IDs by security, my wife didnt have it so we told him and i was searching for it in the meanwhile in case i had something with me. By luck i found one id in my wallet and showed him to which he rudely responded that if you had it then you should show!!! I told him i was searching for it; upon this he became more aggressive and told us to go back as he will not let us enter. We had to call the manager who appologized and then took us up. This is totally unacceptable behaviour with customers; this guy was Asian heritage (indian probably), tall, fat and with a beard. We demand that he is fired from the job since such thugs should never be allowed at security. Customers come and spend money but this is what drives them away. We felt disrespected.
Another comment; the general area around this place is not very nice with shady people around. We recommend to spend your time and money on better rooftop bars...
Read moreDO NOT VISIT. I would’ve personally rate zero stars or less. I went to this establishment with family and friends during New Year’s Eve. Near the end of our stay we were accosted by employees and staff, and they refused to give us back the clothing and stuff that we had checked in at coat check earlier that night. I was then grabbed and assaulted by one of your staff. After I had asked him to stop touching me, and he ripped out handfuls of hair and threw me to the ground. I’ve sent and email requesting a refund for the worst experience ever. And I haven’t got any reply from them. I did not pay almost 300 dollars to be discriminated and harmed by anyone. If you keep reading some comments you’ll notice a pattern of violence and rudeness from the staff. So make you self a favor DO NOT VISIT THIS LOUNGE. I attached my hair where you can clearly see it’s ripped off from the scalp. You can also see how the woman felt bad cause they saw how he grabbed me from the hair. They...
