Where do I even begin… I recently had a delightful sushi lunch special that was both delicious and reasonably priced at $20–$30, paired with a refreshing lemon Yakult drink. The sushi platter featured a variety of fresh, high-quality ingredients, each piece beautifully crafted and bursting with flavor. The balance of textures from the tender fish to the perfectly seasoned rice was spot on. The standout for me was the spicy kani roll, which had just the right amount of heat and melted in my mouth. The lemon Yakult drink was the perfect complement, lightly tangy, creamy, and not overly sweet. It was a unique twist on a classic drink that paired wonderfully with the sushi, leaving my palate cleansed and refreshed. The portion size was satisfying without being overwhelming, making it a great lunch option. The ambiance was cozy, and the service was attentive yet unobtrusive, adding to the overall experience. I’d highly recommend this meal for anyone looking for an affordable yet high quality sushi experience with a creative drink to match! (the drink was free with a review)

I ordered takeout from here during the pandemic more times than I can remember, but I finally had the chance to dine in recently. It just so happened that they had a limited promotion where you could order as many pieces of sushi/sashimi as you wanted for $1.35 each (as long as you ordered at least $20 of food from the regular menu and paid with cash). We ordered the "sashimi regular" set (12pc sashimi, selection varies) to hit that minimum, and then from the promotional menu we ordered around 20? more pieces. Fish was generally delicious across the board. I particularly liked how rich and slightly sweet the salmon that came with the sashimi set was (fattier than the the salmon a la carte which had a lighter flavour). Other highlights included the amaebi sweet shrimp (which is honestly a steal at $1.35 per piece) and the red snapper. Service was very friendly and efficient. Price point ultimately came out to around $2/piece (including tax/tip) which is pretty good for sushi of this quality. Would definitely recommend taking advantage of this promotion before it ends.

Hands down one of the best sushi experiences I've had in the United States, on either coast.

It's a very clean, cozy, and small joint just across the tangram center run by very kind, enthusiastic, and highly efficient staff.

I've never been at a place which not only has extremely high quality fish (thoroughly and consistently buttery soft texture, that incredibly fresh, almost lightly sweet and species-specific flavor), truly gigantic portions, and pricing so good that you question if the business is a front.

The salmon skin salad was, again, very well portioned and executed. The salmon skin was probably from the same fish as the sashimi and was perfectly cooked to where it was sweet and buttery with a little bit of crispy, but still melt in your mouth. The greens used were also really good quality and tasted like an intentional component of the dish rather than just a product for bedding/plating the fish.

I didn't have the oysters, but again they looked and smelled immaculate and were large and meaty.

They have a cash special for sashimi that I absolutely took advantage of. I've never ordered more than a few pieces of sashimi and last night I think my receipt logged over 30. The full bill between my friend and I, with our entrees included, still came in under $90.

I've never been interested in living in nyc, but after spending last night in flushing and then hitting this restaurant, I was...

Me and my college friends went for a quick stop for sushi today, remember college kids, we wanted something cheap and wouldn’t charge much. We settle in and the server was nice at first until it came to paying. We were all discussing how we wanted to pay and tip based on the food and service. We noticed our server was standing at our table the whole time, watching over us as if we were going to run out without paying. We felt this was very off putting so we tipped $7 even though our server didn’t do much but bring our food out and watch us the entire time. We already felt uncomfortable but we know ever server deserves a tip. So when we settle on $7, she comes back to us saying that we HAVE to pay 18% and basically demanding us. So I argue that why would you have a custom tip option if it’s not for custom tips. And she goes “well was anything wrong today then?” In a condescending tone. Mind you she never did this to the Asians in the store. I had a group of minorities with me. So I gave the little 18% tip but I will be charging it out with my bank because the way she acted when she didn’t get as much money as SHE wanted, was absolutely uncalled for. Never going back. Not a...

Yesterday, I visited this restaurant with my loved one in the afternoon. We traveled all the way from Long Island just to try the food. While the food was decent, the service was shockingly poor and completely ruined the experience. From the moment we entered until we left, we were treated with disrespect. The waiter was extremely rude, he didn’t greet us, didn’t smile once, he told us that some food items must be paid for in cash only, and even threw the plates onto our table as if we were bothering him. It felt like we were a burden rather than valued guests. At the end of the meal, he didn’t return our change, making it seem like he decided on his own to keep it as a tip. I honestly don’t understand why most reviews only talk about the food and ignore how terrible the service is. Hospitality is just as important as taste, and this place clearly doesn’t understand that and keep such waiter. Sadly, I also felt the behavior towards us was discriminatory, which made the experience even worse. I will never return and do not recommend this restaurant to anyone who expects to be treated with...
