My family and I just had a really bad experience at this target. My family and I were around the children’s toys section by the electronics and this employee named KUMAR (or something like that) was telling my aunt and my mother not to touch anything. And he told them off 3x when they were walking around looking for toys for children. Then, suddenly, he followed us towards a section and said not to touch anything at all. The store wasn’t even closed and there were about 30-40 other people walking around Target still shopping. My husband already purchased something and Kumar had basically stated that we were one of those people that don’t even buy anything. But my husband did buy something from the electronics department and we were just browsing for toys for our kids. Understandable that they are closing soon, however, why were we targeted and discriminated beyon all the other people shopping?
And when we asked for a manager, the girl with long black hair (she looked like a light skinned middle eastern around 5’3) came up to us with an attitude and told us that we couldn’t talk to her that way. She said “don’t come at me like that. I’m trying to help you” with a tone that stated she was annoyed by our complaint. We explained about the guy who was targeting us and telling us not to touch anything when we were browsing and she looked like she didn’t care. She didn’t even have a name tag or addressed her name. I work in a management field and the way she went about it, was unprofessional. When we walked away to ask another manager, he basically defended the girl “manager”. We were so turned off by the customer service, that we didn’t end up purchasing any of the other items we intended to purchase. We are very upset at the fact that this employee and the two managers on duty on 8/21 around 10pm were very unprofessional and we felt discriminated.
My family and I have been going to this target for many months and enjoy target overall. However, with an experience such as this...we are upset and felt discriminated. Hopefully, Target will be better at hiring better employees and management. There was one employee who we asked about who we can discuss our concerns, and she was very nice about it and apologized. The two “managers” didn’t even apologize for the...
Read moreOne of THE MOST satisfying places to do ALL of your shopping! How I wish I could turn back the hands of time and begin my shopping experience all over again, only years ago. I had no idea that a paradise like Target ever existed until I recently began seeing so many people on the subway and on the street with target bags. Then I decided to visit a store. The most shocking thing was just how much money I saved in one single shopping trip at Target. Yes, the prices were actually cheaper than any other place that I had been shopping for decades at. Places like CVS and Walgreens/Duane Reade (both a shoplifter’s paradise - and no wonder because both of them were forced to raise all of their prices to compensate for the out of control shoplifting) had been ripping me off. At Target this is not the case. I actually watch dozens of YouTube videos everyday on how Target’s Loss Prevention Teams stop shoplifters and thus keep the prices low for us the shoppers to enjoy the benefits of AFFORDABILITY. The sheer size of the Target stores with such immense variety and AVAILABILITY OF PRODUCTS THAT WE ACTUALLY WANT is mind boggling. The “Get more for less” is NOT A GIMMICK, it’s REALLY a fact at Target. The customer service is also very very high, and the huge fleet of shopping carts make it very convenient to shop. Checkout is very smooth. I’ve been shopping at Target since February of this year and only last week just joined their Circle program where you get rewards on the app, so the savings are even bigger when you add those rewards to the already low prices in the store. I’m an independant Google reviewer and this is a very easy review for me to do because of the huge choices/variety of products and affordable prices. The grocery section alone covers all of my shopping for the whole week lol. The biggest shocker was that Target even beat the prices of the 99c discount stores, I have no idea how...
Read moreLove Target in general, but this store is understaffed and not properly stocked. For a long time, I thought the lack of inventory and clerks at checkout were still due to the pandemic—that was until I visited the Target in College Point. The difference is crazy. That store is fully stocked with everything and has multiple checkout lines open and manned by people. This store relies mostly on self-checkout and often doesn’t even have the basics in stock or carts available. The staff have always been kind and helpful, but there are too few of them. With so much now locked up, it’s a pain to have to try to find someone to help get things. Shopping here now feels like a chore, whereas, in the past, strolling the aisles and picking up random things used to be kinda fun. The store is clean and bright, but just doesn’t carry enough merchandise, especially sale items. Given it’s great location, they should invest more in staffing and maintaining inventory.
Update: Sadly, Target’s getting worse. Pricing is often inaccurate and a lot more than what’s listed on the shelves. Need to check pricing using the aisle scanners so as not to be surprised at checkout by a higher price, but the aisle scanners don’t always work. Stuff on sale is now only a few cents off or you have to buy multiples of an item that you only want one of, can’t use fast enough before the extras go bad, or don’t have the space to store the extras until you can use them. Also, a lot of discounts are inaccurately advertised or require the app, which is unwieldy. They’ve really made it harder to get sales pricing on the things you want. As for cleanliness, the floors and aisles are still clean and orderly, but the restrooms have become really dirty and neglected. Quality/sizing of a lot of merchandise has also gone down while prices...
