My initial check-in was great. Amy and Leo were friendly, polite and informative. After my check-in the downhill express started. I walked into my room, clicked the TV remote, was greeted with message there was no signal. So I went to call the front desk, but there was no phone in my room. So I took my cell and called the front desk at which time I was told the TVs didn't work in the rooms but I could go to the bar and watch TV, but I didn't want to sit with people. Also said they would take care of my parking for the night, I gave them license plate. They also said they would look for maintenance for the phone. An hour later I called front desk back from my cell and cancelled the hunt for maintenance man for the room phone, since it was after 10PM and I wanted to get some sleep. Monday morning went through lobby which was packed with cruise passengers and children who were "everywhere". Stopped at front desk and asked about the television and was told a technician would be there that day (a recurring theme). I left hotel (found a tag on my car from the parking police warning me for violating) and went and worked all day. Upon returning to hotel I inquired at front desk and was told still no television, but the one in bar worked. I was also told that you all would pay my parking for the night and gave my license plate number. Front desk also told me that the maintenance had replaced my phone during the day. Went to room and called it a day. Tuesday morning went downstairs and to front desk, they told me a technician was coming to fix the TV that day (sound familiar) and I headed out to work. When I returned at end of the day, I went to front desk and was told, no there was no television repairs that day, but the TV in the bar was working (get real now in 72 hours no one came out to address a hotel wide issue?), however they would pick up my parking----lol. By the way has anyone ever had to pay parking to the hotel they were booked at for parking there? I went upstairs, Wi-Fi not responding, came back down to use Business Center PC, and it was raining on the open station---I went to front desk and told them, he seemed totally disinterested in what I was saying, but hey not my computer getting wet. I called it a night. Wednesday morning I went down around 5AM to use Business Center, the station I reported the rain at was still dripping water on it, the puddle was HUGE, so I went to front desk and the lady came over and looked at it and called someone who showed up with towels, a mop and bucket to set under dripping water. I was also told that a tech would be there that day to fix the television (I admit it, I laughed). I found my second nasty note on my car from the parking police that morning. Left building for work and when I returned Wednesday eve, still no TV, huge puddle in lobby where water still running, 2 of 4 Business Center PC's not working, and Wi-Fi didn't want to stay connected. Ok tell me again why I would ever want to pay to stay at this location again? When I checked out Thursday morning, everyone was polite and friendly, but really this hotel wore out all of...

Read moreMy husband and I were in Orlando for a conference and decided to stay closer to the airport the last night before our flight home. I wasn't sure what to expect with an airport hotel but it was really very nice. It is situated in a little section with other airport hotels, stores and restaurants just a mile or so from the Orlando airport. There is an airport shuttle available every half hour so we decided to drop off our Hertz rental car the evening before the flight after we got to the hotel and brought our things to the room. Hint - when you get to the sign that says Rental Cars ABC (all terminals) keep to the inside because suddenly you will see a sign saying rental cars in the left lane. We had to loop around again. The shuttle is first come first serve and holds about 14 people. William and Ed, the drivers, both do a wonderful job getting people to where they have to go. Hint - get the number of the shuttle ahead of time and call to find out where they are if you are getting picked up at the terminal. Thanks to Angeline for her help before I arrived. Thanks to Amy for her sweet, professional check-in and to the young man on duty that morning for our quick, professional checkout. The food was wonderful! On the weekends they have a buffet and it was wonderful. It was $20 for chicken and rice and /or beef stew with perfect veggies, chocolate brownie for dessert, and drinks. Freddy, Michelle and (Kenny?) took care of everyone and kept things well stocked. It was really a very tasty surprise. We were glad we decided to give it a try. Breakfast we did not have time to sit down so we asked if we could take it to go. Rodrigo got me a to-go carton and a coffee to go and I was on my way. The room was well stocked and very clean upon arrival. It has quirky decor and a very comfortable bed. We really loved our stay and were glad we found them. Oh, another hint - don't park in that lot without a permit if only for a little bit of time. You will be ticketed. Oh, if you have time check out the really nice...
