Truly horrendous, made only manageable by the entirely mundane proceedings of the staff. Nothing worked appropriately, or was clearly poor design, or else served only for further irritation. The dance to secure parking was abysmal and over priced (priced at all!) for spacing that was governed by the typical public free-for-all expected of a Walmart parking lot. Not to mention the bureaucratic nightmare of checkin and paying for that enforced parking after the app’s process collapsed upon itself phenomenally. I am not usually one to leave unhappy reviews. I can withstand certain difficulties, or even a major one isolated. I cannot stand the myriad of issues wrought by what is clearly an ancient and poorly maintained building, which has not been renovated as it should have some two or twenty years past. The only redeeming quality was the breakfast, which was well prepared and fulfilling. All else turns me away from ever staying on this property again. The Walmart parking lot would be less frustrating.

Refused our Service Dog Mary the Front Desk Manager was quite Rude & Refused our Certified Service Dog!!! I am a Diamond Member that stays at Hilton properties with our service animal dozens of times a year. We have never been Grilled about my wife’s Service Animal before. Unfortunately, that changed today when my wife was asked two specific questions and Mary rejected the answer to the second. Below are the two questions and my wife’s responses to each. Question 1. “Is the animal a service animal required because of a disability?" Answer “Yes, Severe Anxiety” Question 2. "What work or task has the animal been trained to perform?" Answer “Brings Me Calm,” Mary the Front Desk Manager rejected the answer saying “That’s NOT a Task”. We offered to show her Lola’s Service Animal Certificate/Paperwork and or Card and were told that she didn’t want to see that. As a result we had to find another hotel for the night! Very Sad!! We had a suite, there was enough space (not plenty, but enough) to get some work done during the day, and the place was clean. The breakfast was awesome (mostly due to the omelet chef from P.R.), but the biggest factor in not getting a better rating was the anti-social reception, two drink tickets per adult (that the check-in staff forgot to provide), and weird roped off area that kept people from talking with each other. Basically the reception was "Here are two free drinks, be on your way, we don't want to talk to you and we don't really want you talking with others" -- there were no chips nor any blended beverages to include kids in this activity. Lastly, the elevators were a bit more terrifying (when they moved) than the Hollywood Tower Hotel (and nowhere near as much fun) and if you use the stairs you get dumped out outside (not in the lobby).

This Hotel is slightly on the decline, but can easily turn around.

Room - GREAT Once we walked into our room it was fresh smelling and everything was clean to our liking. There were no visible stains. There were also no bugs! Exterior windows could use a cleaning and the view from the 4th floor was only looking at a corporate building. King bed was comfortable

Toilet - POOR The toilet was very loud! There would be a high pitched noise accompanied with the traditional whooshing sound. A few times it flushed in the middle of the night. Staff was notified and we'll see if they fix room 417. You could also hear water flowing from another room, but only in the shower.

Parking Fee - POOR I paid almost $42 to park for 2 days, which is $19 a day over the weekend even for handicap spots. What is frustrating is that it is not mentioned on the website or anywhere until you get to the hotel. If you're not parking here, that's a plus. Hotel staff said this was a recent change and that they've been asked to park somewhere else themselves so that guests could park and of course, pay $$. Other hotels in the vicinity do not do this, I went to one and asked.

Coffee - POOR There is a Starbucks machine that you pay for behind the check-in counter. However, it does not offer Decaf, if you're looking for that. Free coffee is only available at breakfast, but it's not good or great, just bland. Some hotels offer that, but if you're looking for something hot to drink when you check-in then expect to pay for it.

Breakfast - GREAT It's best to show up before the crowd 8:30-9:30, and you'd better get what you can, doors will close PROMPTLY at 9:30 a.m. weekdays and 10am on the weekends! The omlet station is great, probably the highlight of breakfast. Fresh toppings and a variety of them. Also, included is usually bacon, sausage, and maybe pancakes. There are no waffle makers. Pastries are ok, if you like Guava. Hard-boiled eggs, milk, juice, and cereals are included. Some fruits are available and yogurt. There is also a soda station which is a difference from most hotels. The stations are mostly organized, the omlet line can fill up, but the cook was decently fast!

Common Area - GOOD Some of the couches, the geniune leather was peeling away. Other than that, the lobby was appealing to lounge in.

Staff - GREAT Staff was friendly

Dinner Reception - GOOD/OK Two free drinks each, wine, beer, or mixed shelf liquour. Mixed liquor drinks have a lot of ice, though. Overall, good. Food was chex mix and a vegtable tray with ranch. In the past at other places they've done better, but it seems they've scaled back the reception food.

Overall - GOOD/OK I was looking and spending for more but came up short. In retrospect, I would have booked a better hotel. Parking situation was a blemish on the trip and I hope they can come up with a better plan. The positive was that it was a nice bed and I slept decent when the toilet noise wasn't around.

EDIT I looked it up and yes, they do list the $19/daily parking fee on their website. I bought it through a 3rd party website (perks at work) which does not clearly list the parking fee. Also, I'm not sure what the respondent means by "full-service" hotel, but the Wingate by Wyndam which is a few blocks north does not charge for parking. I know because I asked.

In comparison, you could park your car at "The Parking Spot" across Semoran blvd. and pay $17.50/day which lists as a premium covered parking spot or $13/day for an uncovered self...

The hotel was actually pretty nice and so were the employees but our room was pretty bad. On the upside, I believe we got a pretty discounted stay because if rewards points but if the benefits we earn as members are subpar then what's the point? The breakfast offering was pretty solid and the location was good. We appreciated the staff for being very accommodating and getting us into a room quickly since we came in on the red eye and wanted to grab a nap before going about our day.

We were only there for one day before heading out on a cruise and when you're only staying one night, you don't want to hassle with having and dealing with a bunch of room maintenance issues. The first was just aesthetic. when you open the door to the room, the carpet under it is just shredded as can be seen in the picture we took. Not a big deal but definitely no putting out the quality/excellence vibe. The second was more irritating. One of the drawers right inside the door would not stay closed and hung half open the whole time we were there. I banged my ankle against it at least once and I believe my wife did as well. Not sure how this was missed when the room was serviced. We've had this same issue before at other properties during longer stays and we just didn't want to deal with scheduling time for them to come and deal with it so we just ended up dealing with it ourselves.

The last issue was gross. There was a big wet spot on the carpet near the sink in the bedroom. We stepped in it pretty much immediately. We didn't know if the sink was leaking or there'd been a spill. Again, we didn't want to deal with this during a short stay and we were so tired, we just threw towels over it and went to sleep. When we awoke, the towels were stained a weird yellow color. You can see it in the pics. Very gross and not very rewarding. The last item on the list was the railing into the hot tub. It was totally loose and wobbly. None of us were hurt by relying on it to get in or out of the tub but someone...

We stayed for a quick 3 nights in Orlando and decided to stay near the airport for convenience. We booked this hotel off a 3rd party site but it seemed to have good reviews so it seemed like a pretty solid choice. If we were to stay in the area again, we would stay somewhere else. Details below.

Location- is great, convenient, a good area to walk in and if the shuttle isn’t busy, they’ll run you quick to area places.

Hot tub/pool- if you are hoping for either of these, you might be disappointed. Our first night, the hot tub was broken and the pool was freezing. The second night, after someone came to fix things, the hot tub was really hot. The third morning the hot tub was cool again and even though they worked to fix it and were very apologetic, that night it was still cold. The pool however was warm! (The pool gets afternoon sun.)

Staff- everyone we had contact with was great. We loved the night shuttle driver, the night front desk gentleman was nice and everyone else was very friendly.

Cleanliness- our room was fine. Public areas were pretty filthy- for example- I know they are high traffic but the same beer glass has been parked on the floor by the elevator for 3 days. (I’ll run it down tomorrow before we leave if it’s still there...)

Elevator- it is no exaggeration that it is iffy it’s slow but also makes weird noises. The stairs aren’t an option going up, only down.

Breakfast- was very good and again, staff was great. This was definitely a perk especially during covid.

Room- the size and layout of the rooms is awesome- we loved all of the space we had. (And 3 sinks!) Beds were very comfortable.

Overall, it wasn’t a bad stay and the price was very good. If a reliable pool/hot tub wasn’t a priority for us I might consider it again but I’d rather pay a little more and have cleaner more...
