Tacos Amuco — Restaurant in Oak Ridge

I found my new favorite taco spot!! I have been to dozens of different places all across the Orlando area trying to find the best one, and Tacos Amuco tops that list!! This place is leagues above the rest because the tortillas are handmade right then and there, the meat is so flavorful and you get great meat portions per each taco, and it’s not super greasy like a lot of other places! You could have 6, 8, 10 tacos and not even feel bad about it unlike so many other places in Orlando!

We got four different types of street tacos: cabeza, al pastor, steak, and birria. They were all excellent, but cabeza completely blew us away! SO much flavor and combined with the homemade tortilla, there is nothing else that compares anywhere! We also got a steak sope, and that was by far the best sope we have ever had anywhere. HIGHLY recommended. The family behind the counter is so nice and friendly and I am so happy we have them our business. They definitely deserved it. Even though we live half an hour away, we’re going to be making the drive over here a LOT just because of how good their food was!! Having lived in Mexico for several years as a young adult, my wife and I were eager to find some authentic Mexican tacos in Orlando. We live out in Metrowest and after a 30 minute drive, we were underwhelmed and skeptical about this food cart with it being so small and just off to the side of an Exxon station. We pushed past our skepticism and decided if we didn't like the food, we would leave to find food elsewhere. We spoke with the owner (who was working the cart with two other kind ladies) who is a kind man from Guerrero who says that they make everything fresh (to marinating the meat for the birria to making the corn tortillas by hand). He stated that the Quesobirria tacos were popular among his customers. We took his advice and my wife and I were just going to share this order to test them. After the first bite of this heavenly taco, we knew we each needed our own order. The food was excellent, the birria seasoned perfectly, the salsa was spicy, and the customer service was excellent. Some of the best street tacos and more I've had in while! My boyfriend and I were looking for authentic Mexican tacos and he found Tacos Amuco on Google. We saw that they had 5 stars and decided to come and try them. My gosh, let me tell you that they definitely have some of the best cabeza tacos, carne asada tacos, sopes, gorditas, quesabirria I’ve ever tasted. Excellent food! Everything is hot and fresh, as well as homemade tortillas. The meat is juicy and tender with a lot of flavor. Absolutely amazing! My boyfriend loved the green salsa. It was a little spicy for me, but it tastes very good. It’s a must try if you like spicy salsas. I come from California, where we have some of the best Mexican tacos and I was very impressed with Tacos Amuco. Not only with the food, but also with the cook and the customer service of the owner.
