I was in Orlando for a few days and after spending the majority of my Saturday evening burning a crater-sized hole in my pocket at Disney Springs, i realized how hungry I was but failed to notice the time and that all the restaurants were closing up for the night. I had heard some rumblings about a joint with some kickin wings down the street from my hotel so I got in my Turo-rented purple Nisswa Versa (listen, I was in a hurry and it was a close pick up spot so don’t judge me), made a quick detour and swung into Cheers. Parking lot was packed except the first spot was open so I pulled in and went inside. I asked the guy at the door if they were still serving food and was pleasantly surprised when he nodded to affirm my question. I hoisted myself up to the bar and asked for a menu and a drink, parched after my day of retail therapy. I asked the bartender for a recommendation on the sauce as there were several to choose from that all looked delightful. The staff has a humerous debate about which was best and I settled on the Boom Boom sauce mostly because I like the name and wanted to say “Boom Boom,” with ranch to go (all sauces are made in-house which is always a huge plus in my book). The other bartender engaged me in light conversation which I appreciated so I didn’t have to sit there alone at the bar like an anti-social weirdo, and it was fun to read all the little plaques attached to the bartop. Soon my wings were done and I was on my way. I’m not gonna lie, they definitely lived up to the hype. Do yourself a favor and get more than the 8 piece as i was a tad irritated with myself for eating them all and not having any to snack on the next day. Chicken, good. Sauce, good. Dip, good. Finger-lickin’ for sure. Now, I normally wouldn’t write a review for a place I didn’t spend more than a mere 15 minutes in, but it was a pleasant 15 minutes and overall a great experience. Friendly, comforting vibe with a great staff and great food. If I’m ever back in the area, i will...
Read moreHad a wonderful with my fiance enjoying their garlic wings and fully loaded fries are our favorite. Went and had the waitress Monica whom was very rude she asked if I wanted to start a tab and I agreed passed her my card and she later gave it back before leaving I asked for the check she stated do you want me to to just charge the card and told he no I would like to see my receipt first it was very busy and it took her awhile to come back I went to the bar to ask her for the check again she passed it to me the bill was 49.89 I gave her 40$ cash and told her to put the rest on the card I looked at my statement the next day and my card was charged two different times 4.89 and 44.89 i went up there right after looking at my statement and the bartender told me that he was the manager and there was nothing that he can do I would have to wait til Monday til the waitress comes in that's the only person that could help after speaking with him I went to the bank on Tuesday to make sure it wasn't a pending charge which the bank said the 4.89 charge was the pending charge which is gone and I was still came back in on Tuesday and I was told that she didn't charge my card and she doesn't want to see my bank statement there is nothing she can do so practically I'm out of 80 bucks and nobody has...
Read moreSaw this was next to my hotel and based on the other reviews had to go here. Important note you can smoke in here. If smoke smell bothers you don’t go here. It’s a dive bar in a true form. You walk in and sit where you want. Service was prompt. They have pool tables and plenty of darts and som other games to play. We ordered the poppers and the pretzels and the famous wings. The pretzel comes with a cheese dip and the poppers with a dip also. We like both. So the wings were good not great or famous, they were cooked well just not as seasoned as I would prefer. So I had the loaded burger and it was cooked well and seasoned well as I side note I love pepper and there was a lot of it on the fries They were nice and crispy so I didn’t mind it. I did take a bite out of the chicken sandwich and it was cooked well and seasoned well. I had the specialty drink and it was good. They have a good selection of beers on tap. Drinks were good and priced well. Service was great considering we were there with 7 people. I would go back as it was a cool...
