Chaparral Motel — Hotel in Port Lavaca

Rude manager. Acted has he doesnt care for the customers who are trying to book a room. The only reason I did stay is because it was the only hotel that had rooms. When I went in to room I can see why. Comforter was outdated and uncomfortable. The shower had black spots that could be mold. And rust spots on both long sides. There's a table saw left out in open and stayed there all 3 days. Could have got kids hurt. I Killed a big spider and couple of roaches. Thin towels that barely good enough to dry your arms were bath towels. Stain on sheet that looks like blood. And ,after all that I still needed to stay another night. because i didn't have time to get another room and went to work. I called to extend my stay and the manager said no. That I could but in different room. And I had to leave work to get clothes out of room I was staying in. Not happy with that. Nor the hotel. ...

I admittedly reserved for the wrong month. When I didn't show, I was charged for the entire weekend. I called Expedia on Saturday who called motel but got nowhere with the clerk on any kind of refund. I then called the hotel myself just asking if they were sold out for the weekend - I was told "They had plenty of rooms." So on Sunday I reached to the owner who, after explaining the issue refused any kind of refund. I mentioned you were not sold out so it did not cost you business. He said no matter it is their policy. I can understand if they were sold out being charged, that's fair. I can even understand being charged for one night or an adminstrative fee. Filthy carpet,small roaches in bathroom all over my toothbrush in the morning when I woke up,I alomost puked.The lady on front desk had a mouth on her,I heard her expressing herself in sexual way to another customer in front of me,she didn't care I was listening.Overpriced as well,these people jacked up the price when they heard there was a demand for places to stay,I was working a shutdown at a refinery near by and this place was the only one available so they jacked the price,charged me like it was a Hilton but to me it was worse than Motel6.I later heard from other people that they had bed bugs,I don't know,but I will never...
