Until today 2/2/2025, at about 2 pm, Longhorn's was my favorite restaurant for a good steak. I gave my name to the hostess, and she said it would be 15 minutes, we said ok we would wait in the waiting area which is between the outside entrance doors and the doors to the inside and in view of the hostess stand at the Longhorn's in Tradition, Port St Lucie FL. After a good while, while many people were going in and being seated, I went in and asked her if she forgot us, she said "I called your name 3 times and you didn't come, and then stared at me. I said that I clearly said we would be waiting right there in plain sight, and that nobody can hear through these closed doors, and she simply repeated that she called 3 times, like that was some final failure on my part, when I asked to see the manager, she suddenly decided there might be an available table, and soon found one. Our waitress was the one good experience, she was great. I asked for my steak to be pan fried medium rare as I do not like charred or burnt food. My expensive steak came out with many dozens of black bitter spots from where garlic or something burned, I was scrapping that off and pretty unhappy about the bitter residue, when the waitress stopped by and I mentioned it to her and then flipped it over to see what the other side looked like and it was totally burned black! Why would the cook even send that out? So I had to reluctantly send it back knowing that can lead to bad things being done to your replacement food, and eventually a nice big juicy medium rare steak came out,,,,,,but it still had quite a few of those bitter burnt specks on it but I didn't say anything. after we got home my wife said her steak was dry and tough and her potato was not completely cooked. So that was an expensive disappointment. That steak was so burnt and the decision to send that out to a customer is so hard to understand, it makes me feel paranoid that it was retaliation because I questioned the hostess's actions. Otherwise, what could possess a cook to do...

My first time to this Longhorn location, we usually go to the one in Jensen Beach.

And had I known this Longhorn was only half the size as the Jensen one we probably would of chosen there for this Mother's Day dinner.

We arrived just about 6pm and were expecting a wait, however nothing prepared us for a 3 HOUR WAIT!

The parking lot was at capacity, expected for Mother's Day. We actually had to park in the nearby plaza, definitely a walk.

They do NOT accept reservations and we were aware of that as well. But we were not prepared to wait and wait and wait.

We were a party of 4, me being the only Mother. Along with my son, daughter in law and my elderly Father.

After waiting awhile we saw 4 seats open at the bar and figured we'd sit there and at least not be cramped in the very small waiting area or outside in the heat.

Then 2 hours into our wait, the hostess informs us there is STILL 10 parties in front of us to be seated, what?! 🤦‍♀️

So approaching 8pm, as much as I detested sitting at the bar, my Father and Son starving, I gave in and agreed to have dinner there.

The Bartender was fabulous, attentive and very friendly which made eating there a bit nicer. However, not as nice as sitting facing each other on this special day. 🥺

The food took forever as expected but was delicious! The steaks were cooked to perfection.

I ended up taking alot of mine home because I didn't care to get messy with the rack of ribs I had with my Parmesan crusted chicken.

Fast forward to the next day when I reopened my take out, preparing my Ribs for the oven. And thats when I turned them over to see they were burnt. Not alittle burnt, but burnt burnt! 😳

Had I seen that at the restaurant I would of...

Listen sometimes you go out for just a nice meal, and it just doesn't turn out. But it can in the end if you have a restaurant that really cares about your meal and enjoying it. Here I go, yep we wanted a steak, yep a good cooked steak, yep so that's Longhorn . We walked in not too crowded so we started. The wings were excellent like always. Ordered our steaks. Rib eye and longhorn. Yes serious steaks. Will say the waitress rushed starting the meal a little too fast but it worked out. Ok plates come after sale and soup but we haven't finished them yet. I started my steak which I ordered med. Moo moo we call it. Filet side. Tried other hmmm not good tough. Ok waitress comes . No not a good one. Right away do you want another one or different kind. I said let's try filet. Meanwhile my partner started her rib eye first cold by then because she chose to finish her salad first. Oh my hers turns out to be not good non ate able. I KNOW it's long hang in!!!! Yep the waitress saw it and said ok getting another one. Waitress is now paying attention. Ok my filet comes back. Hmmm not medium cooked raw. Yep it goes back. I received my steak back with the manager. Now everyone realizes my partner's steak has not arrived at the table. At the end of all this management removes both steaks from the bill. And we said we'll try again and she said ask for me next time and it will be better. All dinners don't go as planned but hats off to this longhorn for handling things great. Will...

We visited LongHorn Steakhouse on 05/26/2025 and arrived at 4:25 PM. There were several empty tables, but we were still asked to wait before being seated. Once we were finally seated, it took about an hour—until 5:30 PM—to get our food. Our server, Nichole M, was very kind and clearly doing her best. I want to make it clear that I have no complaints about her personally. She was moving quickly and trying to take care of several tables at once. However, it was noticeable that other staff members were walking around without assisting, which made it feel like the burden was unfairly placed on her. That had a real impact on the experience. Another thing that stood out was the way the bartender spoke to us. My girlfriend ordered a margarita that came with a mixer for refills. The bartender warned us to “be careful with the mixer or it might spill,” but then added that if we spilled any drink, we would have to leave. That comment felt very unprofessional and unwelcoming. Instead of enjoying the drink, we felt nervous and uncomfortable. I didn’t say anything at the restaurant because I didn’t want anyone to offer us something “for next time.” The truth is, I simply don’t want to come back.

My husband and I purposefully drove to this restaurant for a late lunch/early dinner. I apologize for not taking pictures of the Titos Texas Tea or Caesar salads. Both were tasty. Not every restaurant/bar can make a good LIT. Our food (steak and burger) was good, maybe a little salty, but still good. We decided to try the six kinds of chocolate for dessert. If you like chocolate, you'll want to sample it! Bring friends. It's too much for only two people. Arthur was our waiter. We enjoyed him and his dry/quirky sense of humor. He was checking on us frequently enough but not too often. I think that's a skill lost on younger generations, unfortunately. Overall, we had a great experience here. The only downside was the odor of dirty mop water or soured cloths used to clean tables and dust build-up on the table lamp. Details matter. Aside from that, we would recommend this restaurant and will most likely eat here again.
