Jalisco’s To Go is a hidden gem in Texas. When Hurricane Harvey destroyed their restaurant, they quickly pivoted to a food truck concept for breakfast and lunch. The restaurant is back in business, but the to go food truck is still running strong. It’s only 7 hours from DFW, but more than worth the drive. If you’re in Rockport and looking for breakfast to go for an early morning fishing trip or just to take home and enjoy with family, be sure to give them a try. Their food is great and the staff is hardworking and kind, which makes them the type of small business you want to patron! Our family likes to grab breakfast tacos when we come Rockport to vacation. Our favorites are: Bean, Egg and Cheese, Potato, Bacon and Egg, and Sausage, Egg and Cheese. Be sure to get some red sauce. It’s homemade and part of what makes them so delicious.

They are the best! Tacos are always fat and filled with yummy food. They already know the salsa my husband loves using I’m his tacos so they know which one to put in our bag when we pick up, and the best part is when we order pancakes I get the cutest faces on the pancakes! They are always happy to see us! We love going there for our breakfast!

Arrived at about 9:00 am on 6-24-2020 at this mobile eatery. Ordered two bacon and egg tacos to go. They had plenty of egg and bacon on them. The taste was good. Their tiny salsa that came with their tacos has “Cumin” in it! Normally I don’t eat cumin this early in the morning but I do like it. I put some on my taco and the Cumin taste was not overpowering. The bacon was tough but the overall taste was comparable to a sit down restaurant. The price was acceptable and this place is always booming with customers. I shall return! My qualifications as an Expert and Experienced Food and Service Critic; I have a BS in Management and have been trained in two Culinary Schools, to include on the job training at other venues. I’ve managed full service as well as fast food restaurants and have had my own successful Catering business. As a Trainer, I have trained personnel on how to provide superb cuisine and customer service. At the age of 73, I am now retired and enjoy being on the other side...

We are so happy that they have opened a truck while their Harvey-damaged restaurant is repaired! The food is just as superb as the restaurant was. Yesterday we had the Tacos Mejicanos with Charro Beans. Perfectly caramelized onions, a load of tender beef tidbits, juicy lime to squeeze on top, all on the small "street taco size" corn tortillas. So. Delicious. And, to our delight, a roasted jalapeno was nestled between the four tacos in the plate. Other restaurants would just throw a raw one in, if that. But mmmmmm was it good! The Charro Beans were great too, you could taste the salt pork, with just enough spice to where the flavor of the beans came through. AND, the guys who work there are so nice! They remember people's names, smile and greet you warmly, even though they are busy, and working hard in that hot truck. Wish I could eat...
