Broad Street Cafe — Restaurant in Saint Joseph

We're not from here and we're on the look out for a coffee shop. We saw this place and decided to stop in. It's pretty neat that it's in an old fire station but the inside kind of looks old and run down. There could be a lot of potential to make the inside look great. We did go here two days In a row and it wasn't until the second day that the cashier told us we're supposed to order by the door and then come to the cash register. We suggested they put a sign out out saying "please order here", judging by her response, they have been told by multiple people to do that and just haven't done it yet. Walked to this cafe on a Saturday afternoon with my granddaughter. Checked online for hours (stated 4pm close clearly). Arrived inside cafe at 3:05 pm & was greeted with an “uh oh, sorry were closed”. I inquired further as i had JUST checked the hours & the same person responded with “i know, we closed early today.” She later made a remark like “can i get you something really quick?” And i remember thinking to myself “yea its a cafe, id like a quick something to eat that im not going to get because your closed.” My 8 month pregnant daughter was still outside getting her hungry two year old out of car seat when i walked back out to meet them. Second time this has happened to me in Mi on a Saturday AN HOUR BEFORE POSTED...

Overall, this place has great energy and great food and drinks highly recommend visiting this place. Me and my girlfriend came here from out of town from Columbus Ohio. We will definitely be visiting again when we come back in town. The cashier was super super Sweet and made our drinks very efficiently and deliciously the girl in a burgundy/maroon shirt was also super sweet and polite and made our food very very good and very very quick Overall give this place a 10 out of 10 rating maybe an 11 out of 10 me and my girlfriend ordered a plain bagel with sausage, egg and cheese and a salt bagel with cream cheese and a bell pepper soup with two coffees man...
