Was told the last time we visited the area to try this place was not a good decision. We were there right when they opened so plenty of seating was available. We were seated at a table right by the stairs, which was a very awkward spot. We then asked to move to a booth which was very cramped and tight For both myself and the other person. So we moved back to the table. You could tell by the look on the face of the server that she was already annoyed with us. We ordered our waters, and I then asked to try the blood orange, blond ale Which I did get, but was a very small amount basically a sip. We then ordered, the Buck burger cooked medium with mac & cheese upgrade, and the peanut butter and jelly burger cooked medium as well with cheese curds upgrade, and a side of onion rings to eat with the meal. Took at least 15 minutes just to get our waters, and then another 25 minutes or so to get our food. The onion rings were the worst we’ve ever had. They were doughy almost like doughnut, but fried, lots and lots of grease. The cheese curds were the same way with almost no cheese, and just a bunch of fried. The mac & cheese tasted like box mix very dry as well. Both burgers seemed dry even though they were both cooked medium, and the patty was very small with lots of lots of bread. Too much bun for the burger itself. Picked around most of the bread to try to eat the meat. Didn’t touch the mac & cheese other than the one bite and maybe had four cheese curds total. Once the server came back she asked us if we needed a box because there’s lots of food there. We let her know that the mac & cheese was not good at all asked if it could be taken off, and potentially taking off the onion rings as well due to the fact that we did not eat them, tried to pick around all of the dough it was a mess. She went and talked with her manager and they took off $11.50. When she came back, she already had the bill in her hands. I then told her I found a piece of plastic in the onion rings as well. She looked at me and rolled her eyes, and then proceeded to walk away. We paid and then left, not even two minutes later I had the worst stomach attack wound up in the bathroom for quite some time. Would never go again, and would not recommend. Last thing I would add, is we continued shopping up and down the road and about four towns people had said that it’s not good and they would not go back there as well.

Went there last weekend, 1st time, and last. I am not one to complain, but when I drive hours for a well deserved vacation and only have 3 days, I wanna enjoy myself as much as possible. Where to begin... We call 2 hours ahead and ask if they serve beer flights (we enjoy tasting different beers made locally). The person who answers the phone does not know, she puts me on hold 5 minutes then the line gets dropped. I call back, same girl answers and informs me that yes, they do serve them. We get there? Nope! They don't serve beer flights! Well, we're already seated so what the heck, we decide to stay. Just about all the servers look like they'd rather be elsewhere than there. One blonde girl was the only one enjoying her job. And a busboy was really well mannered (we met him when I asked a server if I could have pepper and she answered we don't have any! She then opened some sort of small desk full of c*** to show me! 30 seconds later the busboy showed up with pepper. He was really sweet). We both order burgers (their specialty right?) and a side of onion rings. Blue cheese hamburger AND the fries ''cold to the touch''. We waited a long time for our food so it must've been standing somewhere waiting to be picked up whenever. I returned it. Only to get the same results. Shouldn't have gotten my hopes up... Onion rings? Bring your paper towels! And magnifying glass! Onion as thin as a paper sheet and grease we actually were able to squeeze a tablespoon out of! I swear I burped the only 2 bites I took till the morning after while drinking my coffee. Obviously we will not go there again. Too bad because it looks like a place where you could enjoy a good time, on vaca or not. We strongly suggest heading to Silver Harbor Brewing Company instead (3 blocks away). Waiters, servers and busboys super friendly, food great, awesome ambiance and OUT OF THIS WORLD BEER FLIGHTS!!!

Traveling from Chicago to Holland and wanted to stop for a good stretch of the legs and some good food, BOY DID WE LUCK OUT! Bucks was sooooo good. The restaurant is extremely cozy and very worth the stop just to view some of the incredible music memorabilia. The staff was super friendly and our server ( Taya) was not only knowledgeable of the menue but also allergen safe options for my egg allergy. I got the build your own sandwich with chicken and my companion got the blue cheese burger. The portions are plentiful, and on par if not on the larger side of average. The chicken was well seasoned (not too salty) and the sandwich as a whole was perfect. My companion loved their burger so much in fact they can't wait to head home for another stop. The fries are done in veg/soy oil and perfection so no peanut allergy worries there. I got the fried Brussel Sprouts as my side and they were so good I can't stop thinking about them. I want more for a midnight snack. We have found our new travel stop on our trips to visit family, friends, and fruit picking. A must try!

I wish I could leave no star rating...waitress inattentive. 2 visits while we waited an hour for burgers, not steaks but burgers.... After finally coming by to bring us water that we asked for when we arrived, she mentioned that she was just told that our food was ready....it was 15 minutes before she came back and the burger was barely lukewarm and fries not warm.I told the waitress to take my food back because it had cooled off and fries were cold. The waitress looked annoyed instead of apologetic and took my food to the kitchen where I watched 2 different kitchen people without masks on pick up my food with their bare hands and put it back on the plate instead of throwing it away. I walked away and when they waitress came up to Me to tell me my food was downstairs I told her I do not want the food that the kitchen help put their hands all over. Shortly after the manager came up to me saying that he heard there was a problem with our order. I told the manager what I had witnessed as I watched our waitress bring my food back to the kitchen and my concern about be served the same food that was touched in the kitchen. He assured me that would not happen but if that was the case why did they put my food back on the plate after 2 people handing the food with dirty hands instead of throwing it away. manager was not the least apologetic but did bring my food to Me in a few minutes and told me that he personally made sure the order was fulfilled. After that the waitress ignored us the rest of our stay... when we got her attention to ask for napkins and another soda she looked annoyed and walked away barely acknowledging the request. After eating we asked a wait staff member if our waitress was ignoring us because we had not seen her in several minutes, the staff person said in a very condescending tone” considering what happened she is”. We asked for the check and left as soon as we could thoroughly insulted by The dismissive treatment. I guess because a restaurant is successful Enough to have a waiting list of tourists they can afford to be arrogant and dismissive of customers who they fail to serve with professionalism or respect. I would not come back here again if they gave...

My family and I used to enjoy coming to this place for dinner, as they offer gluten free (GF) buns to allow those with medical conditions such as myself to enjoy a good burger. We went to this restaurant on August 23rd, and even though we emphasized to our waiter several times when ordering that I needed a GF bun, he still brought me a burger on a regular bun. It was not until a couple bites into the burger that I realized this could not be a GF bun. After this happened, our waiter informed us that they had in fact, given me a regular bun, and offered a half-hearted apology with a lame excuse about being tired after working so many hours. Within hours after eating those two bites, I became extremely ill, as I always do when eating a gluten item and I have still not recovered fully. To make matters worse, my husband, who is a very tireless advocate for me at every restaurant we eat at, has called the owner twice, leaving messages both times, to speak to him about the need to better educate his staff and stress to them the importance of taking food-related illnesses more seriously. To date, the owner has not returned his call. It is one thing if the Buck did not offer GF alternatives, because then I am just taking my chances, and I accept that. However, they offer a GF alternative for a reason, and they failed to execute a simple request, which has made me extremely sick. In short, we will NEVER eat there again, and I strongly suggest anyone that has a food-related issue to seriously consider whether they will trust this place to get your food order right. I just want this place to take food-related issues/allergies more seriously. I just won't give them the chance to make me sick again. I wish I could give them no stars for this rating/review, but Google apparently requires at least one star before you can post this. The effort on August 23rd by the Buck deserves no stars at all. I stand behind everything I posted here, as it is the honest truth. Potential...
