The Lilac Loft — Local services in Saint Joseph

Six of our family members ages 7 - 72 attended a candle making session. I was so impressed with the options from clear candle glasses to tea cups to build our individual candles. We could used base colored crayons for our wax or blend colors for special tints to match our container. We chose from over 30 scented oils to give our candles the perfect scent. We added dried flowers, fruits & coffee beans as topping decorations. Working the entire process was amazing. Everything was set out and ready for each individual member from wick to wax. The large open room and all tools were spotlessly clean. Our host was knowledgeable and friendly and worked easily with all ages. When I booked candle making for our combined bridal parties as a kind of last minute fun way to get everyone together I had no idea that we would be having one of the highlights of our wedding weekend. If you are even remotely considering the candle making workshop, sign up. The experience you get for what you pay is completely unmatched, Denisse is so funny, personable, and a phenomenal teacher. The different options for vessel, scent, colour, and decoration meant that everyone we brought with us walked away with something so unique and personal. This was so much fun! Appropriately named “The Lilac Loft”, the inside is decorated with beautiful lilac flowers. Once inside, they offer more than just candles and candle making…a quaint book swap, wax burners (different scent options), and even car scents😍 and so much more! They provide all the tools necessary, and the instructor (Rich I believe) was very patient and thoroughly explained the process. I purchased a cute tea cup to put my Mother’s candle in for Mother’s day, which I thought was an elegant touch. I also chose the “Jamaican me crazy” wax melts, which smell soooo AMAZING!
