Was visiting family in San Diego for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. We celebrated the day sightseeing from a yacht charter and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. Of course we were blessed with sunny SD weather but it was extra special when we were lucky enough to see 3 whales! There were a few dolphins too that rode the waves of the yacht when we were out which was pretty cool. The crew was very helpful in making sure my parents had a fun yet relaxing way to commemorate 50 years! We did get to open a couple bottles of champagne and enjoy some light appetizers when we anchored for a short while and basked in the sun. We were very satisfied with the service given on such a sad day. The urn was transferred to a stainless steel urn. Rose petals were placed in between the ashes. When the ashes were placed in the water the rose petals stayed with the ashes so we were able to watch the area and it made us feel at peace. The yacht was nice and comfortable. The captain was terrific. He was very helpful and gave us a tour afterwards of San Diego. The tour just made the trip go from sad to memorable. The photographer did an excellent job as well. I contacted San Diego Boat Tours and spoke with Tawanna Mathie. Every time I spoke with her she was cheerful, helpful and had a thorough understanding of their business and the reason I was contacting them.

I chartered San Diego Boat Tours to take us out beyond Hotel Del Coronado on May 21, 2014 to spread my wife's ashes. The spreading of the ashes was handled in a professional and solemn manner as befitted the occasion.

Despite the reason for the tour, we found the experience extremely enjoyable. Captain Paul and our Hostess Alicia were very understanding, helpful and a delight to be with.
