NEW NAILS — Local services in San Diego

My nails ended up looking alright - but I will certainly not be coming back here. I got a regular pedi and gel mani.

I left with about 80% of my cuticles bleeding on my fingers (literally almost every finger), and a slice in my pinky finger which still stings a few hours later. I leave for Hawaii tomorrow and am guessing the salt water will not feel great on my torn up cuticles and cuts.

Same thing happened with my toes - she actually had to put gauze and neosporin on multiple toes because she cut the nails and cuticles too deep causing me to bleed multiple times. It was not a pleasant experience at all and I actually wish I had stopped her before she did my fingernails (hindsight is 20/20).

I actually came home and soaked my toes and fingers in soapy water to minimize risk of infection. It also made me question sanitation - she was not wearing gloves, and it certainly made me wonder how well they sanitize their tools in between clients as there is actual risk when blood is involved…

This was my first time coming here. I really wish I had gone elsewhere. I was very surprised as they have great reviews...

Do not recommend. Came here on my vacation. Picture speaks a thousand words. I got the deluxe pedicure, this is 5 days later (photo). They cut my cuticles too deep and it's been hard to walk ever since. I will be going in for a refund tomorrow morning, they've been closed the last 2 days. Absolutely horrific experience. Update: they did not apologize or anything for cutting my nail too deep and took zero responsibility. The man gave me a $50 dollar bill and a nasty look to get me to leave. I should have been refunded $65. Do not recommend this place on vacation. I wasn't able to wear any of my cute shoes or anything.

Update: it's been almost 2 weeks and it is still very painful whenever I walk and I cannot wear close toed shoes. (Video) If I lived in California I would definitely take legal action...

I was there on vacation for a ladies weekend. We didn't plan on getting pedicures so before we left, I put a quick coat of polish on my own toes. The older lady who did the pedicure was so horrible to me. She would not stop lecturing me about how I put too many coats on and it took her too long to take the polish off. She kept it up even while doing my friend's nails afterwards. I felt so uncomfortable and was upset by the time we left. I got the point that she wasn't happy after the 1st comment. By the 20th it was overkill. Not the way I wanted to start my vacation. And to top it all off, the next morning all my my polish was messed up.
