I have been going to this liquor store for over a year now, it’s close to my house and the selection is great. Every time I’m seen wandering the aisles, I get asked if I’m finding what I need. Also great. BUT, when I go to checkout, there is a woman at the counter, maybe middle aged, short grey hair (not sure of her name), she gives me the least attention I have ever received in a retail establishment. She does not greet me, she does not ask me how I am, she does not even say any form of a goodbye. I gave her a few chances, started greeting her first, asked how she was doing that day, so on. The only response I ever get is, “let’s see your ID”. Now, I know I’m only 22 and I’m sure they get fakes in the store, but as I said, I have been going there consistently for over a year and have had many encounters with this woman. Her unpleasantness alone makes me want to stop bringing my business to this...
Read moreI'm a beer guy; a former homebrewer and homebrew shop owner and pretty knowledgeable about beer...I've been in this place several times over the years and their beer selection always impresses me...the bonus on my last visit was the tall guy in the beer department who was a former professional brewer and knew a lot about the beers they carried...we had a nice conversation and he pointed me to a couple of terrific choices...unfortunately, I didn't get his name but if his manager reads this he should be assured that the beer department is in good hands... their liquor and wine shelves are also stocked with some fantastic choices and a lot of hard to find things, especially the rums and bourbons... great place and highly...
Read moreI was feeling hypoglycemic and needed something sweet to drink from nearby (I was shopping at Kohl’s) so I went in here looking for a juice or something. I finally found two juices. I got to the counter and the young man tried to ID me for juices. He said that it was store policy. I challenged him because it was not alcohol. He would not let me buy it. I didn’t have mine on me so, I left it all there. I could have passed out. I only went there because I needed it. I don’t drink. I just figured they’d have plenty or variety of things there being nearby....
