As a Korean, I wouldn't recommend this place.

This place was really good the first few months but it's going downhill. It's definitely one of the better KBBQ places in the Seattle area (meat quality, service, ambiance) but it's still overpriced. I always get the signature feast and every time I go, it seems like they give you less portions. The meats they pick are also not great in terms of variety. You'd think for $62/person, they'd give you more variety instead of regular pork belly and pretty bland (under seasoned) beef. If we're ordering a signature 'feast', where is the brisket? Where is the spicy pork? Where is chicken bulgogi? Etc. Don't just serve us under seasoned meats for 80% of this 'feast'. Their banchan (side dishes) are also underwhelming - most of them are pickled vegetables, and not true Korean banchan. Real Koreans know that you judge a restaurant by what banchan they serve you. I'd say this restaurant is pretty lazy or they don't have the proper staff to put out authentic Korean banchan. Their soybean paste soup always tastes different each time as well. The Korean steamed eggs are too dry and not authentic Korean. Soju is overpriced in every Korean restaurant in America but charging $16/bottle is ridiculous. Service is decent as they're pretty attentive but there's this guy who's always there and he forgets when I ask him for something, and I have to ask him multiple times. The rice they give you is also such a small bowl. 20% service charge on every ticket is a bit much as well especially if I'm just going with one other person. This might be new but we were also kicked out around 7pm when our reservation was at 5:30pm because they had another reservation coming. This would've been nice to know when I booked the reservation, or at least tell us before we are sat down. By the way, most places have a 2 hour max but 1.5 hour max at an expensive place feels rushed. I couldn't even finish all of the items that we paid a ridiculous amount for and was given two, small to-go boxes.

If you want an authentic Korean BBQ place, this is not it. A lot of folks who've not gone to KBBQ might think this place is good because it's your first time but this place doesn't reflect an authentic experience. Go to Mirak Korean BBQ Restaurant in Federal Way if you want a more authentic experience (although they don't have the lettuce there) - meat variety, banchan, soups are way better there. I might try Exit 5 Korean BBQ in Renton, and see if...

SAFETY: Servers wore masks consistently which was great. Very tight quarters and close to neighboring person, and in my opinion, not great air circulation, door remained closed so inside was quite warm and smokey. Didn't ask for vaccination status.

SERVICE: Overall, service was poor. Best service came from the busser. He was kind and observant. Only one who seemed to care and genuinely smile at us. There was a woman with green hair that was stressed out and very annoyed -it seemed like she didn't want to be there and made our asks feel like an inconvenience. The servers were at our tables constantly tending to the meat which was nice but also made it was difficult to hold a conversation (imagine someone coming by flipping meat but in an annoyed way...). There was a 20% auto gratuity to the bill but didn't see a mention of that anywhere.

ENVIRONMENT: Table was small. There were four people and we had to keep rearranging things to fit and eat. The fan was low I'm guessing for the smoke control but also in the way of conversation. There was still a fair amount of smoke in the building. We came in at 530 and as we were wrapping up, was asked to leave for a reservation at 7. There were signs saying two hours max so thought that was strange (with no heads up prior)

FOOD: The meat was good quality. The servers do make your food so it does feel rushed, instead of at a typic Korean restaurant where you cook your own food at your own pace. There wasn't space for another dish so they left the meat on the stove (on top of veggies but its still going to keep cooking). We started putting meat on other dishes like the lettuce dish but then the meat started to get cold because they were cooking at such a fast pace. The side dishes were all pickled items. The rice was hard, dry, and tasted stale which was disappointing. Someone ordered seconds and the quality of the rice was the same. The lettuces provided were green and looked fresh,...

We have tried many korean restaurants around Seattle, from Federal way to Lynnwood. Having moved here from LA and still goes back to LA Ktown often, i have a pretty good point of reference. My family and i have come to Meet quite a few times and they never disappoint. This time i brought my friends here for a holiday get together and something special.

When it comes to kbbq, Meet has definitely leveled up the game by a lot, and in my opinion, is the best in Seattle area.

First, the interior decor is modern, clean, and fun. Cooking grill and vent is powerful and they switch grill plates for different meat and also to keep it clean.

Cocktails are some of the most delicious concoctions according to my foodie friends. Waitstaff was very friendly and explained everything very well.

We did the Signature Feast. If you have more than 2 or 3 people, the Feast option presents a very good value because it comes with Kimchi fried rice, soy bean stew, steamed eggs which is to die for (and i would drive across the lake in rush hour just for that alone). All the meals come with Banchan, the little side dishes of pickled vegetables.

The beef was Waygu aged on site, pork belly is Japanese Berkshire pork. Everything cooked to perfection and your preference at the table by waitstaff. We were stuffed at a price of $74/person. While you can save a few dollars at other kbbq, i can assure you the quality of food and service will not come close. Compared to Baekjeong, the LA kbbq Seattle outpost (which is nowhere near their LA ktown experience), Meet is much better for the value.

They do not rush you to turn the table. Me and my friends were able to leisurely enjoy our dinner and catch up with each other. Everyone was very impressed and planned to bring their family here knowing they would love it also. If you haven't tried Meet, i would highly...
