Polite Service, Underwhelming Food
I recently dined at Biang Biang Noodles in Seattle, and while I must commend the incredibly polite and quick service, I found the overall dining experience to be somewhat underwhelming.
Let's start with the positives: the service at Biang Biang Noodles was exceptional. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and efficient, leaving no room for complaints in that department. They deserve high marks for their professionalism and attentiveness.
However, when it came to the food, I must admit I was a bit disappointed. I ordered the lamb dish, which was flavored with cumin. Unfortunately, the lamb had a noticeably gamey taste, which was unexpected and detracted from the overall enjoyment of the dish. It's worth noting that the flavors didn't seem to blend well, leaving me somewhat unsatisfied.
The pricing at Biang Biang Noodles also left me a bit perplexed. For a can of Sapporo, a pot sticker appetizer, and a bowl of spicy noodles, the total bill, even with a 20% tip, amounted to $49. Considering that the noodles weren't the best I've had and the overall experience fell short of my expectations, this seemed quite steep.
While I appreciate the polite service and the potential of Biang Biang Noodles, I left the restaurant feeling underwhelmed. It's possible that I visited on an off day, and I would be willing to give them another try in the future. However, considering the high reviews I had heard about this restaurant, I expected a more memorable culinary experience.
In conclusion, Biang Biang Noodles offers exemplary service, but the quality of the food and the pricing left me wanting more. I hope the restaurant can work on improving the consistency of their flavors and reassess their pricing to provide better value...
Read moreThese guys are the best. Shout out to our server Alex for making sure our visit went as smooth as possible. I was even able to watch the process of during the dough into actual noodles. My noodles were literally fresh made. I seen the lady in the back making it and handing it over as we were walking in.
The interior of this place is amazing and fun. Multi levels and so open. It is a bit tight in the main seating area, I almost tripped on my way to the table which would have been bad for the other tables and all the food on them. People with big feet and long strides beware. The workers are a bit smaller than I am so it's probably no big deal for them to walk between everything quickly.
What about the food. Yea it's great. But they may have something more than just your average noodle spot, it's almost like a new age fusion noodle bar. They do serve alcohol, but idk if want alcohol with my noodles. You can be the judge of that. They tell their cocktails are pretty good. Oh, and good luck with parking. It took a bit to find parking. Not the worst parking I've had to deal with in the area, but it is in the top 10% of my hard to find parking restaraunts.
Price wise this place is not cheap, but I did have noodles to take home. Also their ingredients are very fresh and plentiful so, I guess you are getting what you pay for at this location. The total was over $30 for a ice tea and dry mix combo after tip and tax
The only thing that did rub me the wrong way was, the person that took our order knew we only came for a filming but presented us with options to order as well. It almost felt intentional, but thru do say ain't nothing in the world for free. She gave us umbrellas after it was all...
Read moreMarch 2025 We stopped by here for a late lunch, since we were interested in the hand-pulled noodles. The place is dimly lit and a little bit crowded together. They have mostly 2 people tables, with one 6 people table in the back corner by the fish tank wall. They have an upstairs that is curtained off, maybe reserved for private parties or really busy times. There was some music in the background, the noise level was similar to a busy cafe.
Note they have a 90 minute dining limit and you are seated by the staff. The staff were friendly and quick to greet us. They checked on us periodically and were quick to refill our waters without prompting.
We both got the pork rib, though one dry and one with soup. The pork was delicious, very tender and falling off the bone. The noodles were also chewy and delicious. The pork broth soup was very flavorful. I got a mild spicy, and while i could really smell the chili oil, it really was a mild spiciness.
The main negative was that they put a lot of vegetables with the noodles. There were more vegetables than noodles. Which was very disappointing and unsatisfying. It was cheap veggies too, just cabbage and bell peppers. I did not think it was worth the price.
The green onion pancakes were very average, with very little onion. The popcorn chicken was surprisingly unflavorful, considering the amount of spices added. There was also a lot of breading.
They have 2 gender neutral bathrooms. They were spacious, clean, and dry.
Good service and ok food. Tasty, but not worth the price. We likely would...
