I am extremely disappointed with Hampton Inn & Suites Tifton. They canceled my reservation (for 10/5/2024) the day before my stay without any warning, leaving me scrambling to find alternative accommodations. This is completely unacceptable, especially for a business that should value customer loyalty and reliability. I made this reservation well in advance, and now I'm left without options. I expected better from Hampton Inn. This experience has seriously made me question whether I will ever book with them again. Here is the email:
"We wanted to let you know that, unfortunately, Hampton Inn & Suites Tifton cannot honor your upcoming booking 72924573737433, on 10/5/2024. Occasionally, properties have to change or modify bookings unexpectedly. We're sorry for this unexpected change – please accept our apologies on behalf of Hampton Inn & Suites Tifton (22283). Let us know if you have any questions - we're here for you and want to ensure you have a good travel experience. Best regards, "

Then I received this email from Hilton’s Guest Assistance:
"We apologize for the trouble caused due to your reservation cancellation at the Hampton Inn & Suites Tifton. Due to unforeseen circumstances and maintenance issues, the hotel was not able to accommodate your reservation. Due to your reservation being booked through a third party and a lack of contact details, the hotel was not able to contact you directly. However, we have shared your comments with the hotel management to ensure that such an issue won't happen again in the future."
So let me get this straight: I was left scrambling for a place to stay because of a “maintenance issue,” yet they couldn't even reach out directly due to booking through a third party? All I got was a half-hearted apology and vague promises for future improvement. Hilton's response to a major inconvenience feels more like damage control than actual customer service.
To anyone considering booking with Hampton Inn, be aware that if they cancel on you, be prepared for a warm but ultimately hollow follow-up email. It seems that’s all you’ll get to make things right.

If you're considering booking here, just know that you might get some warm and fuzzy emails when things go wrong, but don’t expect any real solutions! ----Hi Michael,

The house keeper who cleaned room 134 before we arrived did a great job.
Margaret at the front desk was more than accommodating and cheerful. She was outstanding. She helped us find a room last minute and made us feel welcome from moment one.
The manager's evening special and cookies were a pleasant surprise. Even my 7yr old loved it. Mindy did such a great job preparing it. She kind and engaging.
The grounds were well cared for and there was plenty of space for walking our Shitzu. Numerous animals were in the facility without noise, fuss or smell. In fact, unless they were being walked you would not have known they were around.
The pool was well maintained. The furniture around the pool was inviting. The water toys especially the water basketball was a quite a score..
If that wasn't enough Margret & Ruthie at the front desk heard it was my daughter's birthday and whipped up a special surprise for her.
Hands down the Hilton Inn and Suites in Tipton ,GA sets a standard that other Hilton properties should aspire to achieve.
We tend to go back and forth between Hilton & Marriott -properties that exclude pets are the primary reason.
We have found that Hilton brands generally are more pet friendly but it seems to vary by place to place.
It is treatment like what we received at the Tipton Hilton Inn and Suites that actual made us feel like we were getting the level of Excellence that is associated with the BRAND.

The property itself is very nice and kept up well, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly with the culture seeming to be a very positive one where they seem to actually like each other, want to be there (at least don't mind being there anyways) and actually smile and seem to want to help the customer. I travel a lot and that doesn't seem too be the case much anymore. Anyways, the afternoon reception was stellar with beer and wine, brand name, containers of beer at that, and real cooked food with a real selection. The kitchen staff actually came out and were talking to people and seem to take pride and what they had prepared. A really nice spread. This alone would make me stay here again. Breakfast the next morning was the same. Some of it was the standard Hampton Fair of half Moon shaped, omelette eggs, etc, but there were extras that are not out a lot of locations. And again the kitchen staff was trying to go above and beyond, came out and talked, and seem to take pride in their work. We had a suite so I expected it to be big, but it was absolutely huge. Very nice, could have spent multiple days there and not felt cramped. The only complaint I have is that the bed wasn't that great and the refrigerator gave off a high-pitched sound that we noticed all night. But, regardless, this property is a hidden gem.
