We arrived at 9:30 PM and all was quiet. It's a great hotel just a few hundred feet from the interstate without the highway noise. The hotel public areas were clean and presentable, no overflowing garbage cans out front. The desk clerk was friendly and welcoming. Room 105 was perfect. Believe or not at around 10:30 I took note of a mechanical grinding, scraping or was it digging sound emanating from where I could not discern. I thought maybe the elevator, but the was too far away, the gym, no that's too far off as well from the room. What could it be? It's now 0130 in the morning I sitting in bed reading, still the sound persists every few minutes right on time. One can't help but focus on the sound emanating from God knows where, the rest of the hotel is quiet accept for this sound, what could it be I ask myself. I'll get down to the bottom of this in the morning I say to myself I shut the lights off and finally fell asleep. Well it's morning and I inquired at the front desk asking about this mechanical sound, scraping, possibly digging, God knows what . The three ladies at the desk are looking at me suspiciously, in disbelief even. They reply almost in unison we've never had a complaint of noise , are you sure there wasn't a large truck out back. Then there is an awkward silence, like you are standing in an elevator with strangers and trying not to pass gas. Okay I say and slowly walk away. After breakfast I decided I'm going to go to the back of the hotel where my room faces. I'm thinking maybe I'll find it air conditioning unit or something that could be causing this noise. Lo and behold I discover there is a cemetery right behind the hotel so close you can smell the flowers. Could it be that these noises were coming from the great beyond or is it an air conditioning unit, or some other mechanical item from the upper floor that needs maintenance. That's for you to decide if you dare stay in room 105.

Worst Holiday Inn Hotel we have ever stayed at. First problem: When we arrived the parking lot was full with the exception of the ev vehicle spots. We didn’t want to take those spots as someone may need them. Asked the front desk and they replied with park wherever, they were “too tired to fight with the trucks parked wrong and if an ev vehicle showed up they should have come earlier”. Second: walked into our hotel room (314) and it reeked of cigarette smoke. Upon further entrance it looked a little run down. Outdated we can do however the curtains were dirty, the air filter in the ac unit was coated in dust and dirt grime and the bathroom smelled of mildew and poop and the wall had mold and water damage. Outdated sure you can stay in that mold and dirty ac filters are NOT safe. Third: went down to the front desk to inquire about a room change. Same front desk staff who was too tired to deal with parking told us they had no other rooms available, their manager wouldn’t be in until the morning and if we wanted a resolution tonight and didn’t want to stay in the room we could just leave. Fourth: just leaving means we are out our points and money (this was a reward night with cash and points as a platinum member) and we would have to pay to stay somewhere else. Solution: WE had to call IHG directly and talk to customer relations to get them to refund us so we could go across the parking lot to the Fairfield inn because by now it was late, we were tired and didn’t want to go farther than necessary to sleep. We absolutely do not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.

I thought everything was very nice at first. The location seemed clean, aside from the construction. The bed was comfortable. Amenities were okay - the room was missing a coffee maker. Quality control on the new renovations was lacking, there were small things that didn't work or weren't constructed well. I didn't think much about there being a field cricket already there to join me for a midnight bathroom visit either. However, everything went pear shaped when we found 2 huge adult american cockroaches having a merry time in our room. The front desks response was asking why I hadn't made them aware so they could switch rooms for us. When I explained we say them this morning and it was a one night stay, they gave me 3,000 rewards points - which is quite literally useless. That will not even cover part of of a room in the future. Our friend in another room didn't report any cockroaches, but she did have a great view of the cemetery in the back. I do mean that literally. So... you may want to look at others in the area if you don't like the idea of cockroaches in your room.

From the moment I arrived, my experience at Holiday Inn Express Kimpton exit 156 in Atlanta was nothing short of extraordinary. The hotel itself is newly renovated impeccably clean, nicely designed, and full of thoughtful touches—but what truly sets it apart is the incredible staff who go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome, valued, and cared for.||||A special thank you to Emma, Kassidy and Trish whose warmth and attention to detail made me feel instantly at home. The three of them greeted me with genuine enthusiasm and ensured that everything about my stay was seamless from the start.||||Emma greeted me in the mist of an anxiety attack which very quickly dissipated with her southern hospitality!!! Breakfast on the house the next morning, enabled me to grab something to eat and get on the road quickly it would not have happened without the extra steps that these three gals offered me. They were so veryknowledgeable, kind, and eager to help with anything I needed, from local recommendations to making sure my every request was taken care of with a big smile.||You can tell that the entire team at Kimpton Holiday Inn, takes immense pride in their work and in creating meaningful guest experiences. I didn’t want to leave, but when I did left feeling relaxed, grateful, and already eager to return.||Thank you again for an unforgettable visit—this is hospitality at its finest.||Emma Kassidy and Trish you are the finest in the industry...
