On 8/21/25 at 6:35pm in Tifton, GA, I placed a phone order using the automated kiosk. The order consisted of dumplings, green beans, fried apples, and biscuits. I got to CB earlier than the automated time given of 7:08pm, and told the cashier who I was and why I was there. Of course my order was not ready (as it was not 7:08) and she did not notify the kitchen. I checked the order after I paid, and it was not correct. I had a box of biscuits and corn bread, and no /dumplings. I was charged for 2 orders of biscuits and 1 order of corn bread as well as the dumplings that they no longer make. Bread is supposed to come with the order. The girl that prepared my order and put my food in the bag, knew there was no dumplings and SAID NOTHING. (She should be fired.) When I brought it to the cashiers attention, she stated CB no longer serves dumplings. WHAT?! So the automated phone kiosk allowed me to order dumplings and the girl who prepared the bag of food knew there was no dumplings, and both allowed the order w/o telling me....the paying customer. Obviously the phone kiosk needs to be deleted and the girl that filled the bag doesn't care about the place of business that gives her a pay check. To top that off....everything I ordered was already cooked and in a big pot waiting to be put in ToGo cups. However, I was made to wait 20 minutes until the given pick-up time. Ridiculous! Why wasn't the kitchen notified I was there to pick up my order so I could get in and out quicker? This was total chaos! It was 7:30 before I left the restaurant with my food due to having to choose a different side and getting a refund for the biscuits and corn bread. I think Ms. Masino needs to focus on customer service rather than changing things that work. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH MANAGEMENT. P.S. The 'Cracker' in Cracker Barrel is not a white dude. A 'Cracker Barrel' was the way crackers were transported...
Read moreAs a former server of Cracker Barrel and my knowledge of how service is supposed to be ran. I was super disappointed in the way the initial service was handled. I still love to visit Cracker Barrel and it’s me and my family’s go to restaurant when we are out of town. We usually visit my former place of employment in Cordele but we decided to try Tifton out again. Upon getting there we knew we would have to wait a little bit and it was a line. I have health issues so I had to sit down by the host stand and was told the wait would be around 20 to 25 minutes. We had a party ahead of us(same size) and then a 5 top who came after us with an older gentleman. Not only did the young guy skip over the party ahead of the one in front of us to sit them(because he knew them) he didn’t even communicate it with the guy who was assigning tables at the stand. Fast forward 30 more minutes the same guy came and sat the party of five that was behind us(and included the one older man with them to make it 6). I usually am understanding but I got upset because that’s just now how it works there. I had to say something and then when I said I was going to talk to corporate about it the manager Cory was like “you don’t have to talk to them, talk to me”.. I didn’t say anything and went on to the table. The young guy who was walking around basically sitting whoever came to me and was trying to blame it on the other guy. After all that happened, I would say our service ended up on a better note. Our server Madison was so sweet and I made sure I left her with encouraging words and a generous tip for them double sitting her with parties because of their mistakes. Also to the lady manager for coming to talk to us. Cory gave us free beignets but me and my mother is diabetic so I couldn’t eat them. It’ll be a while before we go back there; gonna stick with Cordele Cracker Barrel that we are...
Read moreUPDATE: Going down hill fast!!! We visited about a month ago on a slow Sunday afternoon around 3:30. We were promptly seated and only about 10 tables were occupied. After a 10 minute wait, no one had come to our table despite being able to see 4 servers standing in the kitchen door. 2 on their phones. We left. Last night, we decided to give them another opportunity. We were seated promptly again. A server came to our table in a reasonable amount of time and was friendly. The visit went down from there. We were told they were out of lemon and our favorite appetizer. I ordered Grandma's breakfast. The bacon was an obvious "reheat". The ham was rubber, the grits were cold and hard from sitting all day and worst of all, the pancakes were obviously cooked on a dirty griddle. They tasted bad so I flipped them over and the bottom of both cakes were covered in the flake from the cooking surface. Halfway through my meal, the server put the appetizer that they were "out of" on my table saying, "we found you some" like it was a proud moment. Despite asking for a refill, our glasses were never refilled after the original service. I did speak with the manager; Jessica, and she was very apologetic and listened to my concerns. I appreciate her for not making excuses and actually listening to what I had to say. It is clear that she is trying to maintain a standard that is not appreciated by some of her employees. I think we will probably skip CB moving forward. The last three we have visited were a disaster. OLDER: This is our "local" CB so we visit about once every other month. The restaurant is always clean and the customer service varies but is never bad. On this most recent visit we had a polite young man seat us and he made sure to point out the daily special. Our waitress was very welcoming and friendly. It was not crowded so the food came out quickly....
