Went a couple months ago for my sisters anniversary dinner. It was an awful experience. I complained to the previous night manager about who now works at the OG in Albany and she told me to call about it. I did not, thinking it must have been just an off night. Although, we were there for my sisters anniversary and her meal was either forgotten and/or just took an extremely long time. We had a good time other than that, ordering wine, and we figured they were taking a long time to just up the wine bill? Horrible HORRIBLE service though. Flash forward to yesterday, I homeschool my 4 autistic kids, and i decided to go out for lunch and ended up at Olive Garden, I LOVE your food, but haven’t been back since my sisters anniversary dinner. So I thought, let’s go there, have some breadsticks, salad and the kids can order whatever they want. We got there at 12:30. It took about 20 minutes to get our drinks. I ordered a $5 wine, but my waitress forgot it, asking me when we were done with our meal if I still wanted the wine. Uh, NO! What am I gonna do at that point? Chug it?! My autistic boys, always get the chicken tenders, fries and spegghetti, we ordered our food, and an Alfredo boat for the breadsticks. The boat never came out, not till our food came which was an exceptional amount of time, or at least it felt like it with 4 autistic kids. Our breadsticks were cold by then, another waitress I think recongnized that we were being neglected and came and checked on us, I told her that we haven’t seen our waitress in about 20 minutes. Our drinks were empty, my daughter was on meltdown mode from starving at 1:15 at this point. I wanted to cry, I almost just got up and walked out with the kids. I was thinking, that glass of wine would be nice right about now. We left at 1:50 since we had a 2pm appointment. So we spent 1 1/2 hours there, the boys didn’t get fries, since youguys were out. I didn’t get my minestrone soup, since youguys were out. Our Alfredo boat was left untouched, since it was brought out soo late and the bread was cold and hard at this point. So I basically paid, $50 for one salad, because my waitress never brought me more, since I never saw her hardly. One bowl of soup. The kids didn’t touch their meals except these REALLY tiny chicken fingers. By 3pm, I had to go through the Burger King drive through to get some fries. What’s up with you OG Tifton? I was better off getting fast food, walking through the dreaded grocery store with the kids for a bottle of wine, and coming home. I shouldn’t have had this experience. It...
Read moreMy receipt for a visit has been in my purse since 9/18 /2020 and normally I would have thrown it out but it really bothered me how they are handling Covid19 in their restaurant.
I was visiting a friend who wears a mask everywhere due to underlining health conditions which put her at risk. Everywhere we went in Georgia it stated "mandatory" masks while inside their restaurant unless eating and drinking.
At this restaurant, large groups were waiting to be seated in the lobby. No one was wearing masks. A person at the hostess desk, had their nose exposed outside of mask. When I got up to use the restroom , I put my mask on out of respect and thinking it was mandatory .the bathroom was full of women not wearing masks .
I came back to table and asked our server , Kriston K why no one is wearing masks, is there not an ordinance in place? She stated "no, we don't enforce it". I noticed many items were no longer on the menu that were enjoyed by me and my girlfriend over the years. Our waitress kept apologizing to the point it was annoying. She didn't refill our drinks at all, ask us if we wanted more soup and no offer to refill our breadsticks ,even though she kept coming to the table . Our dirty dishes sat to the side from our appetizers throughout our meal. When we asked for to go box, and a bag, I kind of was used to a server saying "I brought you some fresh ones to go with your leftovers" Nope got a breadstick bag for my one breadstick. Just "eh" service for places that really need to make up for closures during the pandemic.
Overall, not one of my favorite Olive Garden. visits, not much to choose from when your coming from Fitzgerald Georgia. Your at the mercy of coming to Tifton and being they are extremely lax with preventative Covid measures , we...
Read moreOverall, from start to finish it was horrible service. We sat down timely as they were not busy. We were not greeting by the waitress for atleast 10 to 15 minutes and the hostess had to ask us what we wanted to drink. Once the waitress came to our table she acted as if someone else was supposed to come help her take our order. Then walked away and did not come back for another 10 minutes. Once she returned, we told her we were ready to order.
She was a new waitress and no one was watching her. When we ordered she did not ask soup or salads with the meals. She then 5 minutes later brought out salad, no plates no breadsticks, no cheese, no soup. Then waited another 15 minutes to have another waitress come to our table with plates and we had to inform them of what we were waiting on. Then our server came out about 5 minutes later with management with constantly apologizing that she was new. Turns out she still did not put in our order for food and blamed on the kitchen when in fact she didn't take our order properly and ring it in in a timely manor. At this point it felt like management was watching over us constantly and made us feel uneasy. They offered desert as a complimentary compensation, which was nice of management. Kept coming up with excuses of her being new. Food finally came out. My daughters soup was cold. Macaroni looked like it was just sitting there. Chicken and shrimp carbanara was soupy little noodles and very unpleasant considering my husband gets it every time there.
I had to ask for refills, remind her of cheese. We just wanted to leave at this point. Didnt offer to go boxes.. no mints. She had only us and 1 other table during this whole time. Worst experience ever at...
