I really don't know where to start. I housed my contractor here for around 5 weeks. When he first started staying here, he continuously complained about the room and their service. He also complained that the television in his room didn't work for several days, but He still wanted to give the manager a chance to resolve the problems. Once the issues were resolved, he continued to stay at this establishment each week as long as he could get the same room. On week six, we reserved the room online for 7 days as usual. When my contractor checked into the hotel, the clerk at the desk checked him in, then checked him out, then checked him in again. I checked my account, and we were charged for a total of 9 days upfront... When my spouse and I contacted them by phone to resolve the matter, the clerk at the desk didn't know what he was doing. He put us on hold for a total of 37 minutes, then came back on the line, said hello, then quickly hung up the phone. Needless to say, we drove to the hotel to resolve the matter. The clerk at the desk claimed he didn't know how to fix the issue so he contacted his manager by phone, but she was no help at all. We contacted their corporate office, but they said that the matter would have to be resolved at the local hotel. This was going nowhere... We checked our contractor into another hotel. This establishment said that they would refund a one night stay to my debit card. We called several days to see why the money was not showing in our account after they promised us several times that it would be there within the next 2 to 3 days. We finally got tired of waiting so we called their corporate office again. The person who answered listened to our complaint and said that he would have to contact the local hotel and assess the situation. When he came back on the line, he said that the Tifton Quality Inn was refusing to refund the money that they originally promised us. Really????????? We had the proof that the clerk who originally checked in our contractor made a mistake by checking him in twice. If it wasn't for that, we wouldn't have even gotten that money back. My wife looked at me a said, " Can you believe it? These people were deliberately lying to us. They had no intentions of refunding our money...." We will never use this property again!!!! These people are liars and thieves and we will never give them our...
Read moreThis hotel changed hands since we stayed 5 weeks earlier. Arrived well after check-in time, and there was nobody at the front desk. We all waited 15 minutes, and nobody answered the "for assistance please call" number posted at the desk. I searched, and finally found a girl and told her there was a line-up for check-in. No apology, and we could hardly understand her. She had also left the office door wide open, with her purse sitting on the desk that anyone could have taken and been gone! None of the inner courtyard top floor rooms were available. Why? Because they were NOT cleaned!! We changed rooms 3 times, and the 3rd was STILL not clean. Broken security locks, and disgustingly filthy. Used tea bag inside coffee maker, and open package of condiments on bathroom counter, with sticky tea residue on supposedly cleaned counter. Broken toilet tank cover, that didn't even fit the toilet. Holes and stains in the sheets, in a rumpled bed, that was supposedly made-up. Huge screw from the bathroom sticking out of the wall beside the bed. Open jar of peanut butter with knife sticking out of it in breakfast area. So unhygienic!! All documented with pictures. The worst was the cockroach running under the breakfast items as we approached the counter. Absolutely horrifying, and something we have NEVER experienced in almost 20 years with Choice. Will be contacting Choice directly about this disgusting hotel. We left the breakfast area and I felt physically ill! ||This hotel should be shut down by the Georgia department of health, or Choice Hotels! Shame on Choice for not regulating the hotels with their name attached! This is SO unacceptable!! None of Choice guidelines are being followed. The following night we stayed in another Quality Inn in another city, and the desk clerk told us that she was not allowed to go outside while she was on desk duty. Just the most unprofessional experience, and the most horrifyingly disgusting and dirty stay we have ever had with Choice. If we hadn't been so exhausted from driving for hours we would have cancelled and gone to another hotel. That should never happen with a trusted hotel chain that we've been members of for...
Read moreOur room was not cleaned thoroughly. Beer in freezer. One towel, no rags. The tub didn't work where my little ones could take a bath. Refrigerator never got cold. During check in and when we realize we had no towels the young lady at the front was very nice, professional, and even apologized and tried to help me once she realized I just had major knee surgery and could barely walk. She was very apologetic and would have brought them but there appeared to be no one to Stay in the office. At breakfast barely able to walk and nauseated at this point but they would not allow breakfast in the room. I ate what I could and was going to bring my coffee and apple to my car to eat while taking my son to school and the front desk lady stopped me as I'm trying to steady my cane you can see I'm barely moving, my knee swollen and wrapped and holding these two items and informed me I wasn't allowed to remove them from the office. So I said there not going to my room I'm putting in my car I just had surgery she said well that's what the sign says your not allowed. I again said i just had surgery can barely move I'm putting in my car. So I threw away a very good apple, orange and coffee because I really hoped they didn't intend on me to put it back on the counter after I touched it and my son sneezed on it. What a waste of food you would rather me throw it away than eat it in my car in a few minutes. I understand not wanting all that food in the room but I was forced to trow away an apple and an orange. I was also the only person that something was said to because the owner/manager said nothing to my son carrying a muffin out. With the exception of the very kind and apologetic night desk clerk with the reddish blonde hair last night this was really horrible stay and no empathy for someone who literally just had major knee surgery. And I'm sure my review doesn't matter but a little empathy to your customers goes a long way. Again I understand no food in room but you'd rather me throw what I've already had in my hand in the trash than take it when I paid for it with the room. Thanks so much quality Inn Tifton GA for...
