Extremely Clean accommodation, comfortable beds, great hospitality- all was awesome. Staff extremely attentive, hardworking, honor your requests! Shabbychic drawers and nitestands! Great location, large nice pool, large firepit area with chairs!!! 2 nd outdoor lounge area was large, in the middle. no issues with parking except if you get back super late! Still no parking issues- even during nationals and saratoga races.BEAUTIFUL ADIRONDACK wood PANEL style in ceiling, updated bathroom , great shower with good lighting. Large rooms! ADIRONDACK lamp shades- (could use more lamps, update shower heads. COFFEE MAKER & IRON & IRONI NG BOARD, ANOTHER OUTLET FOR USING DEVICES- cell, travel appliances/ ALARM CLOCK) U need play with light switch/ fan to turn off fan!! We love staying here, less noisier than other hotels- location!! especially during the muscle car shows, americade. STAFF IS EXTREMELY AWESOME 🙏👍♥️♥️♥️💛Like chairs outside rooms! Strong entrance doorsand we bring our outdoor cushions to use! Also views of lake- mountain depends if u in back side! flapjack breakfast restaurant is facing the hotel , just walk in for coffee, delicious breakfast, pancakes ,outdoor seating with friendly workers.I highly Recommend staying here and park walk all over lake george and to millionaire beach, and dog beach! They could certainly do some simple tricks to rooms, curtains need updated- quality and fabric and rods. I could redo they windows!! an hour as a designer. But decorating isn't always perfecting, work in progress and experience and an eye for details matters.    Read moreI was embarrassed to take my wife here and I did so because of the 4.5 rating. I don’t know who is really writing these reviews for this motel but they are not normal people. I kid you not when I say it was the last hotel available in town. If I have known, I would have stayed home. ||This is what you get here...loud music being played in the parking lot while people BBQ, such thin floors that you will hear the people upstairs seemingly run a marathon, the drama of a person almost getting taken (I kid you not), walls so thin that I could hear the two “service animal” pet goats baaaaaaaaa all through the night, no front desk person unless you call them to come to the front desk, and mostly the rooms that smell like they were smoked in all night before you got there even though no smoking is allowed in the rooms. That didn’t stop the goat people from smoking in the room. ||I can only imagine the review the next renter would give for that room with goat pellets and the cigarette smell. ||We kind of had an idea of what was going to be waiting for us so we brought along our own bed sheets and blankets. I can go on and on but I will end it with this old saying...I wouldn’t wish my worse enemy to stay here. Actually I would because...
Read moreThis is a dated motel dripping with character, but it's been maintained and kept clean by staff. The rooms are cramped, but clean and comfortable with a modern bathroom (at least my room). The property is uniquely laid out, having bridgeways from second stories going over recessed parking parking areas. It is almost theme park-like in its kitschiness with 1950s travel vibes.
However, a slight word of caution. If you want direct access to Lake George, this is not the spot. The pics on Expedia gave me that impression but there are other properties in the short distance between it and the lakefront. While I walked through them to get to it without hassle, you are on other properties. I was told by staff that there is a public access area a half mile from there with the trolley going there.
Overall it was a good stay for the price and could be better if you don't expect to wake up and walk down to the beach or docks. Not luxury, but not roughing it. It's also very close to the night life and food restaurants. This is a good stay for people on a budget, maybe looking for a taste of yesteryear or perhaps for an affordable...
