Food was so-so and service wasn't wasn't too great. It seems apparent that the wait staff aren't concerned so much with the quality of service they provide and are just trying to push everyone in and out of the door like cattle. There was a total lack of attention to detail, such as someone at our table asking for sugar with their unsweetened iced tea (twice) and never receiving it. I eventually saw a dish with sugar packets in it on a wait cart and just grabbed it from there. Another example would be when I asked for a to-go box for my food and after being given one a different member of the wait staff came around to clear our table and took my plate and dumped it. The employees didn't smile and they didn't waste time on pleasantries. They seemed overwhelmed and impersonable.
I ordered the buffalo chicken dip for an app and it was everything I needed it to be. Complete tasty cakes. The portion wasn't that big, however I was sharing it with 4 other people. I ordered the chicken quesadilla for my entree and it wasn't good. Can't explain why, however I've just had a lot better. For dessert our table split the tabletop s'mores. The gel flame from the burner was pretty high and would blow towards your face depending on which way the breeze was going. There was no way to put it out after we were finished with our s'mores either so we had to just wait until it burned all the way down while the flame burned 10-12 inches in the air and blew in all directions. Despite the fact that we were a table of 5, we only received 6 graham crackers, 8 marshmallows and one bar of chocolate. The chips and guac that we also ordered for an appetizer was really good as well.
If it wasn't for the buffalo chicken dip I would have given this...
Read moreThe service was great! The waitress was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is fun, although the bathroom smelled like heavy BO, and there was toilet paper all over the floor. This has always been a must-stop place for us every year the weekend of the Adirondack Nationals car show, but it was disappointing this time around. Our favorite food there was always the beer-battered French fries. Unfortunately, they don’t have them anymore. The fries were more like fast food fries, and when our meals came out, my husband’s fries were nice and hot, and mine were cold. I know this is my fault, but I’m not one to send food back so I just nibbled on them but didn’t have many. I had the macaroni and cheese which was good, and it came out nice and hot, but the portion was small for the price. For $18.99, I expected to have at least enough leftover for a snack later, but not even that. It was a very small portion for the price. A bit disappointing. Perhaps if the fries were better, I would’ve eaten them and had leftover mac & cheese for later. It’s not like we’re never gonna go again, but I hope they see this review and consider my critique when working on future menu changes. Also, I don’t recommend spending the money on the mac & cheese again, knowing how small the portion is. It tasted good but wasn’t like above average or anything, and wasn’t something I couldn’t easily make myself at home. When I go out to eat, I want food that is hard to recreate, that I can only get when I go to Moose Tooth (or whatever restaurant). It wasn’t the case this time,...
Read moreThe experience of the restaurant was cool but super cramped. We sat next to this really drunk man in the booth after us in the right corner which nearly had us leave. He kept knocking into the back of our seat really hard that rumbled us. After the third hit I asked our waitress if we could be moved or to let the guy know what he was doing. She told us he was done and that he'll be leaving soon. 10 minutes later he did and it was pleasant afterwards.
But the first thing I had a complaint about was each drink tasted like water. Soda hardly had any fizz. She said it was the ice, but come on. How many other restaurants but lots of ice in a cup and it stayed fizzy? She did brought me another one and it was slightly better but still blah!
Next the food came and was just ok. I had the quesadillas but it had no real taste to them, it was a 3 out of 10 being the best. My wife had the chicken strips, side Caesar salad and sweet potatoes, they were a 6 out of 10 to her. My youngest had the chicken strips with mozzarella cheese sticks, she ate 1 piece of chicken and half of cheese stick saying it tasted funny, 2 out of 10. My next oldest daughter had the Caesar salad and it was 7 out 10, but dry and needed more dressing to make it tastier. Last my son had a burger combo and was ok, he rated it about a 8 out of 10.
So again the experience was nice, kids enjoyed looking around and hearing the indoor thunderstorms which was cool. But would we come back, not really. Not bashing the restaurant it's just my own as well as my...
