Now Mayor Blaise is seeking to disband the little village, after he has laid low the budget, finances, and commercial prospects while profit taking as it's "most decrepit Mayor" for 50 years. He now seeks to be it's LAST mayor, and the expiry of his tenure (however it ends) cannot come soon enough to save parks and public spaces for those of us who live in and love the Adirondacks.
I LOVE the music, but the mayor of this little village is KILLING businesses and tourism. VISITORS make signs on the street decrying policies and restrictions - not to mention the mayor's penchant for signs and fences himself. Mayor Blais, Tear Down This Fence.
It's a great Adirondack outdoor music venue! Lakeside, great views, and powerful acoustics make it a great place to experience blues, classical, jazz, and more. Join the throngs for amazing sounds and experience Lake George at it's noisiest!!! ...
Read moreThis is a very very gorgeous place to be at, and it is good for both children and adults, as it has a little playground nearby the beach. Yes there is a little beach near the lake right when you go into the park you go down the steps, and it goes right down right near the lake it's amazing.
It's a great place for romance, love and beauty, just for the simple pleasure of walking through a park. Not to mention has wonderful benches, and nice concrete steps in a different areas that you can sit on with those you love.
In addition to all these amazing facts, this place also has a occasional music oratorium / concert area, where people frequently play especially during the holiday time. All in all this is a really wonderful place to take your family, friends, first dates, final dates, and everything in between.
May you be safe...

A former stroll along the sidewalk previously afforded visitors million dollar views of the lake, the steamship, million dollar beach and the scenic surroundings. No longer. Some knot-head official decided it was prudent to erect a fence where there never was one over the past 60 years that I know of. The sand was filled with weeds to exacerbate the ugliness. The vicinity around the public restrooms was surrounded by areas of overgrown weed growth and the once vibrant area looked, old, tired and partially abandoned. Shame bureaucrats get involved with things, once they do it's seldom...
