The positives:||||Good communication ||Location||New pull out sofa with memory foam||Kitchen had everything we’d need for stay.||Gave us a new room when the shower situation (see below) came up.||||The negatives:||||Replace things that need replacing and fix things that need fixing! If a hook breaks, put in a new one! Lightbulbs out?! Put a new one one in! Cupboard knob falls off, replace it!||||Exterior upkeep is awful - it’s an old FL building in an amazing location - other older places around it are kept nice and this place is just trashed! ||Consider new landscape (even just weeding!) ||Build a space for housekeeping items vs padlocked forget Rubbermaid cupboards strewn about. ||*Pool chairs are literally SCREWED into the cement and over half (yes, I counted) have plastic seats that are stripped and broken.||||Price for what you get: absolute nonsensical! Even for spring break/peak season. We’ve stayed in homes/condos all over FL in prime times (Christmas, winter break, Spring break) and have paid close to $1000 less for a 2 bedroom unit with balcony than what we paid for this 1 bedroom unit with 4 windows (no balcony) and a bathroom only accessible by walking through the bedroom where someone else is sleeping! So Sad. With what you’re making on customers you’d think you could put it back into it to improve things mentioned above.||||The icing on the negative cake was the water that started leaking and pooling under our shower creating a bubble, which will more than likely start rotting out the floor under the shower. If you stay in unit 6 beware of the fact you may fall through the shower floor if they...

I took my two daughters for Spring Break. We had room 12, upstairs no balcony . I would have liked to have a balcony, but with the beach so close we just went to the beach daily. I walked every morning . The area is safe and is conveniently located to St. John’s Pass. We had a one bedroom and with two full beds and a pull out couch. The room was clean and supplied with towels , dish soap, and kitchen towels and supplies . The room was perfect for what we needed, which was a place to sleep and cook meals when not eating out . My daughters and I walked most everywhere including many trips to the Shake Shop. The building was nice. The pool was clean and the water was refreshing as well as stocked with pool noodles and other pool toys. The pool furniture could be updated as well as a fresh coat of paint on the gazebo. The ping pong table was functional near the pool, but the shuffle board was outdated and I didn’t see all of the equipment for the game. The grounds were maintained by Vivian who I saw daily pulling weeds. Check in and check out was easy. Fresh towels daily if needed . The location was perfect for our needs. I would recommend it to families looking for a laid back vacation. Gorgeous beach with lots of good shelling early in...

Floors are filthy. Bring your slippers or else you’ll go to bed with black feet. They gave us one steel skillet that everything sticks to. We actually wound up having going to Goodwill to buy cookware. Nothing proved, including paper towels. Had to go to Dollar Store for everything including salt and pepper. Only one dryer work, bring lots of quarters. Washing machine doesn’t spin and clothes come out dripping wet. Right now I’m $4 in on and on the second time through on the dryer. Pool was nice, but many of the chairs have webbing missing. Be careful when you sit. One our blankets had a chunk missing out of it, the other had stains. Sliding patio doors don’t slide well. Impossible for an elderly person to open. There are also no screens on the door. The kitchen counters are nice, but the cabinets haven’t been updated since 1963. I will say the location is great. John’s Pass and the beach are in easy walking distance. We were here years ago and were impressed. That’s why we returned. However, new owners seem like they’re just sitting on property to flip it. Maintenance guy is the best, but has his hands full with cheap owners. Won’t be back, but if your on a budget, this might be a good deal. But go in with lower expectations. Kind of like...

This was the cutest little hidden gem. So quaint and adorable for a laid back holiday weekend. We booked last minute for Memorial Day weekend, not expecting much or having expectations, and so it was a pleasant surprise upon arrival. Clean rooms, renovated, nice kitchen counters, updated modern living room fan, open floor layout, with plenty of natural light and blue/white beach decor throughout. The balcony view faces the ocean, and is quite visible, no binoculars needed. Bathrooms were clean, and honestly don’t have anything bad to say. The King bed was so comfortable and slept great even if located right on the “busy street, the noise was not bothersome. We didn’t use the pool nor laundry so can’t speak to that part, but the pool looked clean and had pool toys. (We had family a block away so we were at their pool, and we brought enough clothes to not need the washer/dryer on site.) Staff was friendly and accommodating. You would have to be a really miserable person to write a bad review on this place, however each experience is different and they could be valid, maybe years ago, but May 2024 experience was fantastic. I would rebook here without hesitation, and plan to come back! Room 10 is charming!

A friend and I came to Tampa and booked a room as a last minute getaway. We had stayed once before. I’m not sure what happened but the quality of the rooms are disappointing. The cleanliness was poor. The furniture was filthy and so worn that it was not fit for goodwill donation. The bathroom had black dirt mold I’m not sure in the bathtub and outside areas. All blinds had dust and I’m not sure what the spots are on the blinds but it looks like someone threw drinks or some liquid on them and they just were not cleaned. Even the entry door was dirty inside and out. The smoking policy is also not enforced so we had an aroma of smoke traveling from the next room thru the vents. In addition the pictures on the web showed pictures that were not for the twins location. Instead apparently the pictures are for another property that is rented as a beach home down the street. Very misleading. We will not be returning to the Twins Inn in the future. I would highly recommend using caution if you are planning to book as the site pictures and reality are 2 different worlds.
