John’s Pass Park — Attraction in Madeira Beach

One of the best places for beach or shore fishing. The currents are strong enough to bring in a wide selection of fish. Fishing off the shore under the bridge you can catch anything from trout, tripletail, grouper, cobia, and even the rare sailfish. A few years ago I caught a sailfish under the bridge. I've got several tarpon and too many out of season snook. The sunset is also wonderful at this beach. Don’t ever park here, when the kiosk malfunctions without warning you, after you pay and chose your time, you will get hit with a $60 ticket.
