Paw Paws — Local services in Madeira Beach

A heavyset older woman with dark hair was tending the register when we visited. We got a cute collar for our dog. She rang it up. Before we handed her our credit card for the sale, my husband asked if they offered military discount. She said yes but she wouldn't give it to us because she had already rang it up. She said in order to give us the discount she would have to void it and ring it up again and we should have said something at the beginning. She said her boss doesn't like them to void anything. She said in a somewhat snide tone "But thank you for your service." Her boss doesn't like voids...hmm. I wonder if her boss cares for not getting return customers. It doesn't bother me when people don't offer military discounts. That is not why my husband and I both served our country for over 20 years. But if you are going to offer a discount, don't give the folks who should receive it an issue about it or offer lame excuses as to why you won't honor it. We won't be back. Their goods are available at many other stores and online. I won't waste our time at Paw Paws again. They need better service staff. Ours is not the first negative review about an older woman who works...

An older woman working at the store was condescending and overall hostile to my young daughter. Along with the prominently placed signs saying kids should not touch anything, she made accusatory remarks to my daughter. It stands to reason if you are that against children being excited to be in your store, then you probably shouldn’t have a store on the boardwalk. My daughter begged us to go there first, even before the ice cream stores. We’d been there before, when a younger, friendlier woman was there. Now we won’t be going back, nor any of the friends and family of our daughter, and hopefully anyone reading this review with young children wanting to buy clothes for their furry...

Kevin and Mike at Paw Paws always go above and beyond with their customer service. They helped me ship gifts to a friend and walked me through their fantastic selection over the phone since I wasn't able to come by the shop. I always love the whimsical nature of their items, and I especially love the gorgeous cookies that look so delectable!
