I didn't want to make this review but I woke up this morning still super irritated about what happened with my Zupas experience. First off we get into the building that wasn't very busy at all. We waited a bit longer then I thought we should've but that was okay because it looked like they were short staffed. I ordered 2 of the same sandwiches with a different type of bread. One white and one wheat. Also ordered two large soups. After waiting somewhat longer then we should've we then proceeded to wait for our soups to be handled. We sat there again for waaay longer then we should've (I felt). Then it gets to the point of soups. Me and my daughter were just standing there waiting in line when the employee addresses the customer behind us for the soup and just skips us all together. I wanted to say something at the time but I didn't want the customer and his 2 children with him to feel like they did anything wrong or put them in a situation that was uncomfortable even tho it was uncomfortable to be waiting Soo long and be served behind someone who had just barely entered the building. I don't like to pull the race card but I am brown and they were white. Coincidence, maybe or maybe not but either way I didn't like the way it was handled. Okay, you would think the story is over but it is not. On top of the ordeal with the waiting and being served behind someone who was behind me after waiting. We get home and realize that they did not give us our 1 white and 1 wheat. They gave us 2 whites. Now I was never a big Zupas fan anyway but I went there to get some food for my sick wife. Hard to understand how the order was wrong when there was hardly anyone in the store. Overall dissatisfied for sure and have a sour taste in my mouth for the service provided.

I ordered a kid's meal for my son, and his grilled cheese came out looking like it had been stepped on; smashed out of shape and the actual bread slices were torn into multiple pieces. This sandwich never should have been seen by a customer, but the person who made it AND the person who sent it to the cashier both let it go by. The cashier looked at it, stared at it a long while, and then rang me up while making distracting small talk and refusing to look me in the eye. I could tell she wasn't good with it, but didn't know what to do. It wasn't even a busy time for them; I was the only customer being helped. These are employees who haven't been empowered, who don't feel comfortable making even simple decisions, and who don't have the team spirit to constructively challenge each other's work. God I sound like some corporate trainer...look, the sandwich looked like trash, and it never should have been served to me. And clean the bathrooms better. Go find a local eatery nearby instead, someplace where the employees and the owners care about quality and reputation.

We tried multiple times to give this location a try but it consistently misses the mark. Aside from other orders done incorrectly, my last orders sandwich was not edible. We live not far away, and picked up our order but you'd think we lived miles away and that the sandwich was piping hot when packaged. This same order was missing items, which weren't marked off on the receipt like they usually do for a pickup either. I called to let them know and I was told they'd write my name down and have someone call me. That was a month ago and I've had no call. I know it's this location missing the mark and not just the sandwich I ordered because at another location which is much further away, when I got home, it was as if the sandwich was just made in my kitchen. Disappointing to have to drive so far for edible Zupas at another location but worth it for our craving. Tried again 9/25 and landed another huge failure. Still waiting for a credit promised by Melanie but I'm sure I'll never see it. At least I've found one thing consistent about this location...

Today I visited your store in West Valley, Utah and had a horrible experience. Upon entering the line there was a man who rudely corrected another coworker on the amount of sauce they put on a salad. Annoying, but whatever, when it was finally my turn to order I was greeted by Carlos, as soon as I started to order he interrupted me to greet customers coming inside. I had to repeat myself several times because he was more focused on the door than the customer in front of him, and was rushed through the line. After my friend and I ate our food, we reentered the line to order a to go order. Carlos then shouted across the whole store to another coworker, Sebastian, that they had better take a short break because it wasn’t his fault that Sebastian apparently was messing around. This was not only in front of every coworker, but a lobby full of customers as well. Carlos was so disrespectful to his coworkers and I felt so uncomfortable. At this time another customer in line let him know that his actions were wrong and he proceeded to condescendingly say “I’m sorry you feel that way” with a gross smirk on his face. I left the store, but had to come back and tell Carlos that I felt he was rude as well and let him know that I was also not satisfied with his customer service and was greeted with the same attitude, he even yelled “I am glad you don’t work with us” as I was leaving. I have worked in food almost my entire working career, I understand that it is not always easy. I felt that Carlos lacked customer service skills, as well as interpersonal skills with his coworkers. I assume he was a manager, with the way that he was talking to everyone. I spent 9 years managing, working primarily with the teenage population, and I would never have been that rude and disrespectful. To not even pull Sebastian aside and have a conversation is insane. He yelled at this kid in front of so many people and he should not be in a leadership position at all. He clearly does not lead; he just barks orders. Not once did I hear him tell anyone anything positive, and the team did great so they deserved to hear something positive. Based on the information he gave to the previous customer who had confronted him I know that Carlos normally works at the Murray location. With this information I know that he moves around and could be at any store. This makes me never want to go back to any Zupas, because he might be there to ruin my...

I was on my lunch break, let you know I only have 30 minutes. I ordered a turkey bacon avocado a with a side of Tomato Basil soup. As I am standing at the counter waiting to pay the girls that we’re making my sandwhich just sat my sandwhich down, didn’t cut it and didn’t wrap it. And started doing their own thing. As I am standing there the girl finally rang me up and I am still standing there and another customer comes in and orders a thing of soup, she paid, and as she was paying, the customer told the girl ringing her up that she liked her bow, the girl just turned around and started talking to her coworkers. customer got her soup and left. As I am still standing there while my sandwhich is left out getting cold, not cut OR wrapped. And the girl that rang me up finally noticed and asked the other two girls I’d they could cut and wrap my sandwhich. And I finally got out the door after standing there for almost 10 minutes waiting for my sandwhich just to be cut and wrapped. And I told her thank you, and just completely ignored me and started talking to her coworkers again.

The customer service on 01/16/2019 around 2:30 needs to be worked on, and employees need to focus more on customers rather than talk to other employees.

If my food was any colder than it was, there would be more to...
