Chicken Express West Valley — Restaurant in West Valley City

I ordered 2 whole chicken togo with rice and salad and I wasn't sure what to expect. From what I observed as I was waiting, the chicken was already pre-charred when they took it from their fridge inside a clear container. It looked like they were just warming it up for me. I had a little dry heave as they placed the warmed chicken into their styrofoam trays. My curiosity overcame me so I took the food home with me to try it out.

The chicken tasted okay but dry possibly because it was a left over from previous batch. I cannot say when it was cooked but I guess that is how they prepare them in this restaurant. The rice was also on the dry side not the normal nice and fluffy rice you get from other outlet.

Buyer beware and consume at your own discretion. I wished I had...

I came to pick up my order past when they said it would be ready. It was $32 and I had a gift certificate for $20 with no expiration date issued a couple of years ago. With no explanation they left me sitting at the drive-thru for about 15 minutes when I finally started yelling hello and honking my horn, they said they were trying to get the owner on the phone because owners had changed so they were trying to get permission to honor the gift certificate. Not my problem. The spit that is normally turning was not rotating and the place was pretty empty when it used to be packed. I won't be back even though I've been a loyal customer for ages....

Not bad a place to eat but the place is showing wear and tear in their seating and chairs. Been wanting to try this place a couple years but now, I finally trying it. Order the #2 and #16 on their menu. The #2, enjoy their zesty like lime flavor chicken which wasn't too dry and the rice that came with was wonderful. This just base on my taste bud. Salad was good although the dressing should came on separate little containers so we can to our desired. #16, the steak kabob could be tender but chewy. In general, it was a good dinning experience and price wise is moderate for this kind of dinning with inflation to factor but will try something else...
