Azucar is a coffee shop that offers a unique experience to its customers. Their caramel macchiato is creamy and delicious, providing a perfect balance of rich espresso and sweet caramel. The expertly steamed milk creates a velvety texture that adds to the overall indulgence of the drink. For tea lovers, Azucar's matcha green tea is a must-try. The balance of flavors is spot-on, with just the right amount of sweetness and bitterness. The vibrant green color of the drink is visually stunning and the aroma is delightful.
While Azucar does not offer food, they do have a small selection of pastries that pair perfectly with their drinks. But on one occasion, I was pleasantly surprised to find chilaquiles on their menu. The dish hit the spot, with the crispy tortilla chips and spicy salsa creating a burst of flavor in every bite. The addition of perfectly cooked eggs made the dish even more satisfying.
One thing that sets Azucar apart is the sweet names they give to their drinks, which reminds me of my culture. It's a small detail, but it adds to the overall experience and makes it a unique and memorable one. In conclusion, Azucar is a great spot for coffee and tea lovers looking for a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The drinks are exceptional, and the small selection of pastries and occasional chilaquiles only add to...
Read moreSLOOOOOOOOOWWWW, I mean REAAAAALLLLYYY SLOOOOOWWWW. The taste is there, 5/5 they do it right. The shop is cute and cozy, 4/5 because they are set for you to work from their shop. But the service is just way too slow. I have been there 4 times now. Weekend, weekday, during work hours and after 5pm. Every time, there was maybe two people before me. 15 minute lattes drinks is not acceptable. Granted, you are the only proper lattes in West Valley. I will be fair and state that I've not gotten just a drip nor just a latte. I have tried their interesting flavors, beet latte triggering childhood flavors for me. But the baristas are too busy hanging out, laughing, chatting with their friends that come in, they visibly start making the drinks after they finish hanging out. I get it, some drinks take longer, but 15 minutes for a latte with no one in line? No. I make a faster latte at home with a percolator shot and french press milk froth. I get it you got online orders, does it excuse the patrons directly in front of you deserve terrible service? No.
If you are looking for a quick cup, this is not the place. Make sure you have time and plan on being there for a while during busy hours. Those baristas need some serious work etiquette training. I will be coming back but I do not know how...
Read moreI tried to give this place a chance a few times, and was unsatisfied numerous times. The establishment states they are open at 8, every time I've come in they have been setting up and have left me sitting and waiting for over 15 minutes for them to even speak or attempt to take my order. As a business owner myself, I take peoples time in to consideration, if that means I need to show up 20-30 minutes before my business opens to ensure I can assist my clients/customers I will, heck even 10 minutes early would make a difference. People have appointments, meetings and places they need to be at. When I asked the ladies who were chatting and laughing away why they hadn't taken my order they said they thought I was just waiting and sitting. One I was the only one in the store, two if that was the case they could have made an attempt to ask me if I needed to be helped or if I wanted to order while I waited for someone, if that was the case since they made that assumption. Instead I received no welcome when I walked in and laughs when I left the store. The coffee is good, which is why I am only giving one star, but unfortunately due to the overall customer service, or lack there of rather, I will not be coming back or...
