I had the opportunity to stay at Sun Outdoors in Wilsonville for six months (November of 2023 until April of 2024). I chose this location based on a friend's experience, other reviews, but also because of the proximity of where I needed to be for work. In my time here, I went through two trailers in three seasons (Fall, Winter, and Spring). I experienced everything from gorgeous fall foliage, ice storms (that held me captive to my trailer), rainy days, but also sunny and warm days! The staff was on site every day (rain, snow, shine) doing their maintenance and upkeep. All of the neighbors and visitors through-out my time were extremely respectful of each other. In the rare event there was an issue, it was often being addressed by the time I had the chance to write the manager. I felt safe leaving my trailer there on weekends as I went back home, along with my chair(s), BBQ, hoses, etc. It is the most expensive RV park in the area, however with all things considered (location, amenities, etc), it makes it worth it. I truly enjoyed my nightly routine in the very clean, well-kept hot tub and pool where often times, I was alone, but other nights I had the chance to visit with travelers and long-term renters. I took advantage of their large propane tank rental with valet service as with a busy work schedule, it allowed for peace of mind. The only downside from a camping perspective would be that they do not allow wood fires, but I understand the liability with the spots being pretty close together and trees over every campsite in a metro area. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a quality place to stay.

Narrow, tiny sites on top of each other- couldn’t even fit our truck and had to park elsewhere (not a huge truck). No picnic tables or fire rings- who wants to go away from their site and sit at a communal patio? If you do, then they do have that option. Twice I got charged at by random dogs- they seem to be very lax in their leash rules. U-Hauls blocking the road etc- somewhat of a free for all it seems. Our rig needs some attention and we needed to shorten our stay-my husband called and emailed a couple days before our arrival and no one responded. We arrived and they said their cancellation policy is 14 days so no refund on the last night- ridiculous. Lastly, washers are -filthy- and six of the dryers aren’t working, can’t be fixed until after we leave. There are randoms that are not guests here using up the two that do work- maybe they should consider changing the access code? We’ve stayed at many Sun resorts, this one is pretty outside but not up to snuff by a mile, especially for the price. Wish we would have stayed elsewhere.

Sun Outdoors Portland South (formerly Pheasant Ridge) is the 70th stop for us and we stayed for 7 nights. Very convenient to I-5 (limited road noise) and downtown Portland, you get a positive feel when you first pull in with the green spaces (for dogs) as well as the nice office area. The host doing the check in was very nice and they worked with me when I had a package arrive before we did. The interior roads are a bit tight (38 ft. Class A) and the concrete slabs are a bit narrow but the sites are generally level. There are mature trees, farmland and woods around you even though there is a Costco/Target/PetSmart shopping center just across the street. The buildings are very clean and they have numerous dog stations. For connectivity in the morning: T-Mobile 9.7 down/7.0 up; WiFi 7.5 down/18.9 up; Verizon 84 down/5.3 up. Overall, would rate a 4.6.

We Are full time RVers. We have been staying here for a year now and have had two different sites - a standard and premium. They were both great, but we like the premium better because we can park 2 vehicles- our giant 1 ton dually and sedan in our spot along with our 43ft 5th wheel!

And oh my gosh is it quiet! It’s not your normal park - I NEVER hear much of any noise after 9pm or early in the morning. And honestly, during the day either. It’s the quietest park we’ve ever stayed.

Close to stores and eateries - all within walking distance.

We have two German shepherds. The dog park is great for them to run and play off leash - set up many play dates with other staycationers so that our dogs would get to know other dogs and socialize. And actually, all the green spaces are great for dogs and kids. There are a ton of dog bag and waste stations everywhere.

I have my grandson come visit sometimes (he’s 4) and he loves the playground structure and the pool. The gazebos and sitting patio areas are cozy too for hanging out with company or just meeting people.

The bathrooms and shower rooms are immaculate! So nice and also very clean!

They have a rather large laundry facility with a special pet bedding, etc., washer and dryer room too.

The yard / grounds maintenance crew are very kind. They trim the tree branches That are hanging down for us every time we have moved so our rig wouldn’t get ruined.

The staff are really nice. So it’s ok with me if the there is only one grumpy guss at the front desk (that doesn’t work full time) that has not been so nice on many occasions, but we try to give grace - they may be going through tough times with Covid or something else.

The pool room is Really nice, but quite hot. I can’t be in there very long. I hope they ventilate it better one day in the future - it needs it. I sweat like no other so it’s not comfortable for me at all.

The hard water. If you’re staying for a long period, make sure you get a water softener.

I wish they had more stuff in their store. More food items, snacks, and fun “Oregon” or “RV” trinkets and more RV supply items.

All in all, this RV Park is wonderful and we love...

Horrible customer service! During our entire stay they were put out anytime we went up to pay them. We don’t consider this place a resort, the lawn is mowed & they have a pool but that’s really all there is. Most sites are narrow and you step out into mud & muck. The pine trees dropped sap on our slides, awnings, vents and sky lights. The pine-needles & pinecones are a nuisance to the slides. They do clean up the pine needles with leaf blowers so it’s noisy at all hours of the day. The fire department & I guess a county maintenance yard is also next door so there’s a lot of noise from there also. There was no room on our pad for a couple of chairs & they do not allow anything on the lawn so there is no place to sit outside of your coach in most spaces. The road to get in and out if your space is very narrow, we had to back into our pull thru, & when leaving our neighbor was kind enough to move his truck so we could take it wide & pull out with ease. The WiFi was spotty during our stay, we used our hot spot more often than not & they don’t appear to want you to go into the club house for better connection. When we stayed at this park there was multiple thefts, we locked up everything for the remainder of our stay. Just a couple days before our departure we learned someone had tried getting into RV’s also & they posted a sign outside the office to lock up all belongings that this was an issue. We can’t believe they have a $600 rate increase with that happening. Glad to be...
