This will be a long post, but I believe it will illustrate the fine support I received from Michael Electronics and how to eliminate the mistakes I made when trying to get the manufacturer to fix the problem.
I purchased my upgraded ASUS laptop from New Egg. Upon receipt, I noticed the unit would not shutdown while on battery power only. I had received 2 warranty cards - one from Asus and one from Michaels Electronics. I was confused as to whether ASUS was responsible for the "base" laptop and Michael's was responsible for the upgraded equipment. I therefore contacted ASUS to fix the issue and they attempted to fix the unit 4 separate times and they made the situation worse by downgrading the OS from Windows 10 Pro to Windows 10 Home edition. None of their attempts resolved the issue and when I requested they replace the unit, they said they would, but not with any of the upgrades. By this time over 4 to 5 months had transpired and I still had not been able to use the computer I had paid for.
I then realized, that I should have called your company first. I called and left a message and received a return call from Zoltan Szasz. Zoltan was very professional and listened to my issues and attempted to remote in and resolve the issue to no avail. He recommended sending the unit in for repair and they would reinstall Windows 10 Pro. I reset the unit and sent it in. Matthew Palmer worked on my computer and contacted me and said he had reinstalled the OS and the problem was not happening when he tested it. He even sent an email with a video showing the problem did not exist when he tested it. He sent the unit back and I re-setup the unit and the problem reared its ugly head again.
I contacted Zoltan and explained the problem was still happening. He made a great suggestion that I make a video showing what was happening and copy it to the desktop. It was a brilliant idea on his part. He even expedited the shipping back to the repair center. This time I did not reset the unit and sent it as is assuming maybe the way I was setting up the unit was the cause.
When Matthew tried to duplicate the issue, he was unable to make it happen, but the video showed it was happening for me. Matthew refused to give up and he finally was able to reproduce the issue when using command "shutdown /s /t 0" to shut it down and determined it was intermittent, but could make it happen more often. He attempted to update the BIOS with no luck. He thought that maybe replacing the main board resolve the issue, but I showed him that ASUS had replaced the main board 3 times already. He even took the entire machine apart and reassembled it to no avail.
I mentioned to him that ASUS had agreed to a replacement unit, and working with his ASUS contact, facilitated a different replacement unit since the unit I had purchased was no longer available. Matthew kept me in the loop as to the progress of the substitution.
By this time, it had been about 6 to 7 months since I had purchased the unit. Realizing I had already been inconvenienced enough, Matthew kindly upgraded my new laptop above the original specifications to "compensate" for the all the time and loss of use of the laptop over the 7 months.
I want to extend my great thanks to Zoltan and Matthew for their excellent service. I have worked in the IT profession for over 45 years in application support so realize what it takes to provide great service and make the customer satisfied. Matthew and Zoltan went above and beyond to make sure I was made whole and to account for the aggravation I had...
Read moreI bought my pc about a year ago for a great deal and it has had an issue since date of purchase. I tried everything from updates to watching by YouTube to having a personal friend check out my cpu. I lost all hope. I was sad because all I wanted to do was play my games in peace without experiencing a crash. My last straw before attempting to sell my pc was to reach out to velzstorm personally and try to ask for assistance on the matter. I ended up receiving messages from Zoltan. He was the absolute greatest customer service rep I have EVER worked with. I sale cars for a living so I honestly know what it means to handle customer with professionalism and punctuality. He executed customer care with perfection while displaying the upmost patience and kindness. He answered every question I had and also showed me a lot of tips and tricks about my pc that I personally had no clue about. We had great conversation while working on my pc together and he is an amazing employee, guy, and human overall. I honestly have never experienced a customer service rep who genuinely cared so much about my problem. I called literally like 2 min before he got off work and he stayed at work almost an extra hour just to make sure my issues were resolved. Blessings on blessings to him, his family, and velzstorm for promoting such professionalism. If anyone asks for a recommendation for pc products or support I know who to send them to!!! I work almost 12 hours a day selling cars and dealing with customers on a personal level and to feel that reciprocated towards me is amazing and I am so thankful. I just want to come home and relax and play my pc in peace and I was never able to do that until Zoltan helped me. ZOLTAN IS THE MAN!!!!! I love working with him. HE IS LEGIT!!!! He is a great man and I don’t mean it as a just a customer, but as a friend. Thank you Zoltan and thanks velzstorm for providing me with such an experience. Scalping people for gpu's in a time where most people are looking to actual retailers to find them at msrp. this company has listed multiple gpus on Newegg for exponentially higher than their retail value, even with the current tariff. On Newegg business they have an rtx 3090 that retails for roughly $1600 US, instead pricing it at $3300 USD. I've read replies to reviews that call them out on the same thing and the companies rebuttal is that this price "increase" is due to the current tariff and in some cases "scarcity". With the 25% increase on price that the tariff ensued, that card should be sold for no more than $2100 (I want to point out that this is not the only product they are doing this with). All products they are selling through Newegg business that I have seen are listed with a roughly 60% price increase (with the tariff accounted) and even other products on their own site can be found elsewhere at much more competitive prices. Looking on sites such as eBay and stockX where scalpers are congregating to resell cards at a massive markup, it appears that MichaelElectronics2 is using those sites to base some of its prices. "Scarcity" is not a reason for a "professional" company to price gauge its customers, that is something that people who lack morals use as a justification for doing something like this (Think the people who were buying all of the sanitization products and re-selling them for exponentially higher prices at the beginning of the pandemic). If you are considering buying from this company I recommend that you look at the manufacture's site for the products actual retail price and make sure you aren't being scammed and if you are, I encourage you to...
