I have been disappointed in Target for over a year but haven't said anything and my experience this weekend made me want to be more vocal. My fiance and I came here to begin our wedding registry and were very much let down. What is supposed to be an exciting moment (getting married, picking out items for our home, etc.) was turned into a disappointment. When we first walked in, we were guided to Ipads to explain the Wedding Registry process and it was not helpful. The instructions on the Ipad were to talk to an associate and ask for the scanner. However, when we talked to an associate we were told Target took away the scanners because of Covid. We were then told to download the app "Target Registry" but come to find out, that app does not exist. Then we were told to download the regular Target app and there would be a section on there to create a wedding registry & add items. That was also incorrect information. We were told that because of Covid Target doesn't want people shopping in their stores anymore so we may need to go online and start there. That may be okay if their online website was easy to maneuver and it wasn't. The entire process felt clunky, lack-luster and as if no one knew what the process/protocol was. The whole point of shopping in person is to have a fun experience and to see/feel the products. While I understand Covid has been a problem, it has been 2+ years and it cannot be an excuse to provide a lack-luster experience anymore. You are missing out on an experience to wow people, especially during exciting times such as planning a wedding. We need to instead start creating solutions to provide a fun, great & inviting experience for every moment (wedding, baby, buying a home, birthdays, etc.). We had wanted to tell all of our friends & family to spend their hard-earned money here but we will gladly tell them to go elsewhere where we had a better experience both online and in person. Target used to be phenomenal with their customer service, their product quality, their product solution but I really feel they have...
Read moreWent into Target in Wilsonville to buy grandson holiday gift Saturday, 12/31/22 in the toy department. Picked out something that had price posted below at $114.99. Bought a few other things and when I left store, I looked at my receipt and it was $329. The present that I purchased was rung up at $279. I walked back in and talked to a "Manager" and we went back to the toy department to review the posted price tags on the shelves. Price tags did not match where items were. She explained this was a "clearance toy section" and that is why. I told her she may want to pull down the tags if nothing was where it was supposed to be. She must have said to us 5 times that ia why there is the "Target Circle App". We explained to her that we have been shopping at Target for over 30 years and have never heard of that App. We returned the item for credit and went to Walmart where we never shop and bought a toy for $100. I am going to return the $50 item I bought at Target tomorrow. In conclusion, it was not like a customer picked up something and put it back in the wrong place. Pretty much the whole aisle was like that. All I kept hearing from her was the Target Circle App. My girlfriend was a Store Manager at Nordstrom, and I have been a Buyer at Meier & Frank and the Bon. We have a total of 50-60 years of experience working in Retail and that was the worst shopping experience we have ever experienced. Even though the store is one mile from where I live, I will try and keep my shopping there at a bare...
Read moreI pre purchased an item on their website. When said item was released, we got the expected email that said your order is ready for pick up. we drove over to pick it up. When we get there, we are told that we wonât be able to receive the item we paid for. I ask why. They said âdue to the number of people ordering this item, we will sometimes get a duplicate for the same order.â I told the clerk that the $500 is still out of my account. Also, I drove an hour because you sent me an email saying my order is ready for pickup. Iâm told sorry, there is nothing I can do for you. When we ask about our other ordered item, we are told that they are all out of this item as well. I like to tell myself that they had been asked this before because they didnât bother to look. I called their corporate office and was just short off blown off. The person on the other line told me I would get my money back in 1-3 days. They ask if there is anything else, so I told them that it would be helpful if Target would notify their customers if their order is canceled. They told me it was noted, they then said if there isnât anything else to have a nice day.... would have been nice to get a genuine apology at some point...
