Do not go here! I've regretted it every single time. I tired Mani/pedis in the past and they were just ok to mediocre. Yesterday is the 2nd time I went in for just a gel polish removal. I swore I wouldn't go back after the first time, but I needed it done as prep for surgery this week, and my normal manicurist was closed and this place is so close to home so I figured it would be fine. Nope! Never again!
We all know that to remove gel polish, the top layer needs to be sanded off, then the nails soaked in acetone so the polish scrapes off easily; maybe some gentle filing to get the remnants off. That's not how these folks do it. Instead, they use that sanding tool to sand off all the polish, which means they are sanding your natural nail. I got a lady who spaced out or something and hurt me by sanding my natural nail down to the point that I pulled back in pain (I don't have thin nails--they're strong). Later, she was filing my nail with a conventional file and scraped the skin on my finger. After all this, she had the audacity to encourage me to come back for a full manicure later. SMH I'm never going back!
I can feel a divet in my nail and the area is visibly damaged. It was tender at the time. It's going to take forever to grow out. In the photo, you can see the worn spot near the base of the middle nail compared to the others. She had the speed turned up high on that sander and was just going to town with no care for my nail health. I should've complained while I was there, but I just wanted to get done...
Read moreI preferred this location because of how big it is and you usually don’t need an appointment when going with your gals.
I will no longer be coming here.
Price was quoted different than in person. Staff was always trying to add, add ons for an extra buck. I know a little of the language and I could understand the chit chattering they made rudely about us I let it go.
They wanted to spike the prices on all our services when we just wanted the basics. ..being rude and just criticizing.. for the workers there if you’re reading this just because someone looks like they don’t speak your language doesn’t mean you can talk bad about them you might be surprised.
The cherry on top was that i got surrounded by the ladys asking me to give them cash for tip, I respectfully said I did not have cash that I would add on my card .. which at that point I felt uncomfortable.. after 2 min of them questioning me saying they had atm for me to take out cash I asked to pay with my cc. I added a lower tip than they expected due to how I was treated and almost got my receipt slapped back, the gal I was with was not finished and I had paid for her service well the lady’s came back telling the lady that was working on my gal that I had not “tipped well” or so. Well she had the audacity to ask for a larger tip after I was done paying etc
Will not come back: My tip was just to be courteous the amount I was going to leave dropped tremendously after...
Read moreThe quality of the work was good, but the communication was not! Be prepared to ask the right questions and clarify cost before committing to anything. We specifically scheduled a regular french manicure for my daughter's friend, and while I wasn't with her (I was sitting in the waiting area closer to my daughter), they offered her dip powder (which is more than double the cost) without her understanding the difference. She's only 11, so they should have asked me, the adult, instead of her if a difference in cost was involved. On top of using the more expensive dip powder, they didn't even do the french manicure that we specifically stated she wanted when we arrived. I had to ask them to add french tips on top of the dip powder. When they told me the total at checkout (which was more than double what I expected), I informed them that it was deceptive and that she's a child and didn't know the difference. We told them specifically what we wanted when we arrived, so I'm not sure why they offered her something different in the first place. Not only did they charge me more for the dip powder, but they charged me extra for the french tips that I requested, which was their mistake in the first place! After explaining all of this, they offered me $5 off of the total. I guess it's something, but overall, it was disappointing and did not make up for...
