Bonsella Hotel — Hotel in Hà Nội

The hotel’s location is great, and it is within walking distance of most tourist spots in the Old Quarter, such as St Joseph Cathedral and the temple on the lake. On the street itself, there are massage shops, as well as pretty good Vietnamese eateries.

The room was a moderate size, with a window overlooking the street. The bed was very comfortable, and the room had necessities such as a mini fridge and a small safe. Breakfast was a tad basic but still filling, and their beef pho was tasty.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, and always ready to point you in the right direction for food and shopping options.

The Sky bar on the 12th floor suffered some damage in a recent storm, and repairs are ongoing, causing some noise but only during the day when most guests are out anyway. Our room on the 10th floor had a connecting door, and there was quite a lot of noise when the people in the adjoining room returned to the hotel in the late evening, especially when their extended family members and friends came over to chat and drink.

On the last day of our stay, unfortunately, water began leaking into the bathroom due to the repair works and replacement of a waterpipe upstairs. Some of our items, as well as the towels, were sodden. Kudos to the staff, especially the lady manager (sorry, I did not catch her name), who quickly reacted when told of the situation. I stayed at this hotel for 5 days. Location, room condition, breakfast, hotel staffs and etc were very nice. I will definitely visit Bonsella when I visit Hanoi next time. First, its location is so nice that you can go to almost every famous places on foot. And they offer sanding services from/to Hanoi International airport, so you don't have to worry about illegal taxis. Second, you can have all you want at breakfast. They offer special dishes like rice noodles(There are four options: beef, chicken, veggie, and egg), omelettes, pancakes, 2 eggs(sunny side up, over-easy, poached, boiled - definitely you can have only one egg), and crepes. There are also buffets in restaurants(Floors 10), including bakery, hot dishes, and fruits. Third, you can stay in Hanoi with great room condition in reasonable price. The room is clean and I could feel their sincerity. After cleaning the room, they place a card saying tomorrow's weather with small snacks. And the last, all staffs in hotel were very nice. They can speak Korean fluently too. They tried their best to solve problems we faced. From the first day, I called Bonsella Hotel regarding a booking and spoke to Tracy, we were treated with such professionalism and friendliness. Tracy booked us in and arranged for a ride from the airport, even asking us to let her know if there were any problems on her day off!! I would never expect such dedication to an employer as Tracy’s dedication. She offered so much great advice in our seven nights here and was always free to chat on WhatsApp when I asked questions of her from restaurant suggestions to spas and more. Not only Tracy but Janice and Van spoke fabulous English; they are friendly and accommodating and excellent hospitality workers. I commend them. Mr Ocean and Ms Anh are both friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Always willing to lend a hand and give suggestions. One day Anh spent a long time with me helping me with airfares, and drivers, suggestions, bookings and much more. She was fabulous. The three bell boys were so sweet.
