Our Stay with Hotel De Lagom was amazing. I truly believe this is the best hotel in Hanoi!
We travelled as a family from Australia with two young children, so finding a hotel with a great location and world class amenities was our top priority.
The Hotel is brand new- only opening a few weeks prior to our stay and I can say whole heartily, it was a privilege to be one of their first customers.
When we arrived, our family was immediately treated with: exceptional customer service from every staff member, attending to our luggage, and offered refreshments to our children. They were truly world class!
We had a slight family situation during our stay and the staff looked after us like we were family. They were so comforting to my partner and myself, and even entertained our children by styling my daughter's hair and making them laugh.
The Hotel is graciously styled with a modern contemporary design. I later found out that the owner (who I had the pleasure of meeting nearing the end of our stay), designed majority of the interior himself.
The room sizes are very generous and extremely clean- which only complements the sharp modern room designs. The cleaning staff were extremely friendly as well and very thorough when attending our room.
To top it all off, the hotel location is perfectly situated- only a 3 min walk away from the famous Train Street!! also worth noting that there are about 4 different cafes/coffee shops on the hotel street, which is perfect for any family needing their morning coffee before starting their day. Our favourite cafe was called "Briefly on Earth" about 3-5 min walk away from the hotel.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to any family or any travellers staying in Hanoi. Hotel de Lagom and their staff are truly...
Read more1, We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, the email of this hotel is unanswered status. 2, The hotel forget to clean our room on the first day, we contact the front desk said it's okay but need two bottles of mineral water, they said they only provide two bottles on the first day, because they don’t got enough water in the hotel, the subsequent need to buy their own. 3, We have ask the front desk can be delayed check out or not, they said can be delayed for free until 6PM, after that need to pay half of the room fee. We returned to the hotel at 4PM, the receptionist stopped us and said that she had made a mistake and we needed to pay half of the room charge. 4, We booked the spa in the hotel on the night of check out and paid in full, the receptionist said that she could help us book a room with shower, but the result was that when we arrived at the booking time, she took us into a super small room, and she told us the room with shower was occupied, which led to us waiting for half an hour more. 5, The aroma massage and facial in the hotel is not comfortable, very not recommended. 6、After the spa we took a taxi directly to the airport, the security guard in the lobby said we didn't pay for the spa and didn't let us go, our driver just waited for us at the door, the front desk and the security guard didn't have any apologies for their own work mistakes. 7, The receptionist will enthusiastically let white people sit on the lobby sofa to introduce the various facilities of the hotel, but Asians to this hotel is a completely...
Read moreHotel de Lagom felt like home for the 5 nights we had in Hanoi. First and foremost, the staff were all very hospitable and warm. It was really nice coming back after a long day out, and seeing the staff smile and wave at us so genuinely — it was almost like seeing a friend again! We also really enjoyed all the small conversations with them. I think we wouldn’t have had such a memorable stay if not for the lovely staff. 💛 (Realised that we didn’t really get their names 😭)
As for the hotel and the rooms, the rooms were clean and very comfortable. Slept so well! The toilet was clean and spacious, and the shower was good as well. We also booked rooms with the balcony, and it was so vibey! One of our rooms had a balcony that overlooked a quaint cafe at the back of the hotel. Another had a balcony that overlooked the main street, and gives you that iconic view that shows you’re in Vietnam ✨
We also really loved the location of the hotel. It’s a couple streets away from the main Hanoi Old Quarter, but everything was still really convenient. We also liked how calm and walkable the area was, as compared to the chaos in the main Hanoi Old Quarter. We could easily stroll to the train street, or walk home after a drink at The Haflington if you don’t wish to pay for a cab back.
Overall a lovely and memorable stay. Would definitely recommend, and would be back the next time we visit...
