We saw a 10% discount promotion advertised on Facebook and decided to reserve a table in advance for a birthday dinner.
The restaurant is nicely decorated, and the food is quite good. However, we were extremely disappointed with our experience due to their poor coordination and inefficient conflict resolution management.
When we entered the restaurant, four different employees asked if we had reserved a table. The staff needs better communication to avoid making customers repeat themselves.
This is the first restaurant we've ever been to, inside or outside of Vietnam, that requires a deposit in advance. I expect to pay a deposit for a house or a car, not a meal.
Our biggest dissatisfaction came when it was time to pay. The restaurant initially did not honor the 10% discount. They said we needed a confirmation from their Facebook marketing team to get the discount code and demanded to see proof. Unfortunately, the friend who reserved the table did not bring her phone. After a lot of back-and-forth, we asked to speak to the manager. The manager couldn’t resolve the issue immediately and had to call the marketing team to verify my friend's Facebook username and chat. When they finally decided to honor the discount, the manager said we would get a 15% discount, but the waitress who processed the payment said it was only 10%. This miscommunication among the staff needs significant improvement. They were not on the same page and failed to streamline their communication.
Because of this experience, I will not return to this restaurant and will not recommend it to my friends. Despite the good food and nice decor, the poor customer service and inefficiency made our experience a negative one. The staffs were nice but their process and conflict management did not meet our...
Read moreWhat a disappointment. We are went here as it seemed very busy. The options were limited for me (picky eater) which is a me problem. We ordered (eventually) and ordered rice, corn dish and a veal option. I asked for a coke cola and was told all fizzy drinks were gone. Waited for 40 mins for the rice, reminded staff for the rest of the meal after 60 mins the corn arrived. The veal never came and we decided to just pay and leave. When paying we mentioned the veal never came and they said yeah sorry we ran out. Would have been better they said this to us instead of us waiting a long time for it to arrive. When paying I saw a men’s bed of staff bring up 6 cans of coke. So seems for me. They weren’t arsed to get one from me from the shop downstairs . Within view of our table I saw staff cutting cooked meat on a table with a scissors, which just felt unhygienic and then even more when he was using the same scissors for other dishes throughout our “meal” Seemed very rushed, and the ambiance was just super strange. I definitely do...
Read moreOverall very disappointing experience !
We went inside because of the nice decoration and expected quality based on the first impression.
However, the quality of the food is very poor. The chicken which is served consists of joints and bones, pieces that we don’t serve in Europe. I understand that this might be normal in low price restaurant in Vietnam, but however unacceptable in a restaurant supposed to be premium.
Maybe the restaurant is just not for Europeans who like traditional Vietnamese food, but not worms ect. Yes, worms were proposed on the menu. It was very complicated to find typical Vietnamese dishes on the menu (insects, worms, organs of animals that we don’t eat in Europe …). 2 dishes that we wanted to order were not available.
Prices shown on the menu are...
