Golden Bell Boutique Villa — Hotel in Hội An

I have to say that this hotel was an amazing value for the price you pay! Beds are big and very comfortable, along with the pillows. AC is nice and strong. All rooms have an attached balcony. Bathrooms have rain shower and tastefully adorned with brass fixtures and dark marble walls/floors. Each room has a dedicated wireless router and fast wifi.... Skype/video calls and streaming Netflix were no problem at all.

Every morning there is a breakfast buffet with pho, meats, fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, pancakes, croissants, coffee, fresh juices and even more. There is a chef on site who will cook you eggs to order, however which way you prefer. This is included in the room price.

Bicycles are avail to hire for a very low cost. Makes getting around town or to the beach very quick and painless.

As many other have said, the staff really makes this place a gem to stay at. Every morning I was greeted by the lovely girls at front desk, who remembered me by name. Shout outs to Thanh and Kieu, and especially Hien who made my stay very memorable. Also, to Bong and the other gentleman who helped fetch our bags and bicycles whenever we rented one.

Will definitely be telling all my friends and family and other travellers I meet on the road about this hidden gem. I look forward to visiting next time I am in Hoi...

This place is bad has no sense of service a place should have Unfortunately we stayed for almost a week there. We paid in advance so we couldn’t cancel. First of all there is mould in the bathroom and the fan make so much noise that its sound like its about to collapse. They said someone will come fix it but nothing happen for a few days. 95% of the time the reception is empty with no one to help you. We even made a self check in the first night because no one came for us i just grabbed a key and went to a random room, wasn’t sure even if it’s our room. On top of that we ask for change of sheets because they were dirty. What did they do? Just change the side of the sheets. I asked again. what happen? Same thing. In addition we took everything out than what happened? Again they just put it back on the bed. Same with the towels. Just folded them nicely Overall experience of the place 1/10 The price was very affordable and that’s why on the first night we decided to do a week instead of 2 nights. And that was a mistake we should have waited to see how they act That’s not a guest house you want to stay here. Hoi an a beautiful place don’t stay your night in this hotel. I was honestly very disappointed with my stay here. I almost never write bad reviews, but I just can’t give a good one here. First of all, the overall feeling of the place is that’s not maintained at all. The rooms would be nice, but it wasn’t cleaned well, in the fridge was mold, and also very basic things like soap, water, kettle, etc. were missing. Usually every cheap basic accommodation provides 1-2 water bottles free water in the room, but that wasn’t the case here. We had to go to the reception and specifically request soap, etc. (which was a bit annoying because nobody was there) It was the same case for my friends room.

The staff overall didn’t seem to care a lot about its guests. As mentioned barely someone at the reception and even though we requested to clean the room, it wasn’t done. On the booking page were also nice photos of the pool so we were excited to use it. But to our disappointment the pool was full of leaves and didn’t seem to be usable.

So all in all, I won’t come back here and wouldn’t advise anyone to do it either. There are lots of other options available for the same price, so those might be a better choice and...
