3 night stay nearly ended in trip to hospital and has left me with nasty scars. Me and my Girlfriend stayed here in March, at first everything was okay your standard Vietnamese hotel with hairs on the bed dirty floors etc nothing from the unusual. The second day I went to have a shower, got in and started to close the shower shutter/door it’s moved a few inches and then suddenly shattered all over me leaving me with cuts all over the left side of my body and a deep gash on my left arm where I sheltered my head. Luckily I was staying with someone as the noise it made was deafening and no body came to check. My girlfriend had to clear a walkway for me while I was bleeding pretty heavy from my arm however I still had glass shards all in my feet. It took us about an hour to clean up the wounds, remove glass, stop the bleeding on my arm and apply lots of closing strips. We went downstairs and showed them what happened, they did not look one bit suprised or not one apology was given, I sat in the lobby clearly injured and the first thing that the receptionist came over and said to me was “you pay for glass now” I told him straight away I’m not paying for it and showed him what it did to me he said he would check us into a new room. This room was filthy, hairs everywhere mould on the ceiling. We looked outside the balcony of our new room and saw loads of spare shower glasses! This is obviously a problem in the hotel or some sort of scam?? After this nothing was said to us at all, this created a horrible tense atmosphere everytime we entered and left the hotel which made us feel uncomfortable and want to leave Hoi Ann although it is such a lovely place. The wound on my arm has now healed luckily but could have been so much worse. I would not recommend staying here at all, for the price of the rooms they are filthy. You can hear everything in the room next door and the staff have a clear lack of...
Read moreI must say that this hotel I booked was the best for me during my 1 month trip from Laos, Cambodia, and here to Vietnam, Hoi An. I didn't have much expectations because It's a 3 star hotel and the price I got from Agoda was 16$ which was very cheap for me. If exchanged for a hotel that is near tourist attractions like this I recommend you to stay here. For me, I think this hotel is relatively new. And it doesn't feel old or dirty according to other guests' reviews. For me, the room is clean, a good size, the bed is big and soft, doesn't hurt my back and comes with another big pillow. It's good for me because 1 pillow for a 175 cm tall person like me and my husband is not enough. New air conditioner and large TV, able to watch Netflix and fast wifi. The refrigerator works well. And there was a big balcony for the room I got.
Things you should notice The rooms are not very soundproof. Because the stairs are wooden floors and when walking, you will hear noises all the time. Water heater It takes a long time. But it's still not hot for my husband . But it wasn't a problem for me with the price of 16$!!!. I would like to emphasize that the picture pretty much matches the picture on the hotel booking website. The swimming pool is usable. Hotel staff provide good service. can speak english And there is a security guard stay in front of the entrance after midnight. Rest assured that you are safe. I recommend to guests that If you expect everything to be good then it's impossible because this is a 3 star hotel and the money you spend just 16$!! for me is...
Read moreI had a comfortable stay in this hotel. It’s still very new, so the rooms are looking very nice and the pool is wonderful. It is located outside the Old Town, but with the free bicycle I got there in less than 5 minutes. It was possible to check-in early which was really nice. The front desk staff speaks little English, but with some patience we could understand each other. Beware that the breakfast is Vietnamese. I booked a room including breakfast, but there was no buffet or a la carte... When I sat down for the first breakfast, an older man came rushing and put 3 plates on the table covered with plastic foil, without explanation. No drink, no options. I love Vietnamese food but for breakfast, I prefer some Western options. It was not possible to take the breakfast of the bill, but the hotel tried to accommodate with bread and eggs the next day. Still, if you want to have a proper breakfast, I would recommend to book without breakfast and go to Rosie’s Café instead, quite near the hotel. Another point of improvement was that I tried to rent a scooter as they advertise with, but it was not possible because the front desk guy was going to use it himself when he went home, he said… very strange. Last point was that after showering, my whole bathroom was a water ballet which was a bit annoying. All in all a nice and affordable place to stay in Hoi An, but with some clear...
